Fallout 3 it is.

It's hard when 2 sources I trust for reviews give such different ratings for games. Deadspace garnered between 7.5 and 9 while Farcry 2 ranges between 8 and 9.4.

I'll play it safe with Fallout.

As they say in Russia: You don't play Fallout 3; Fallout 3 plays you!

This game is going to eat my soul . . .

And I like it.

I bought Fable 2, and have beaten it. It's kind of 'meh' to me. Fun, but buggy and mildly irritating. The main storyline was pretty lame too. Multiplayer is awful and missing features.

Meghan loves it for the Sim RPG features. She hasn't beaten the game, yet she is well on her way to owning most of the country. I think her wallet currently has somewhere around 3 million gold.

Fallout 3 is my next target.

I figured you would be one of the first to pick up Fallout.

I was unsure if I wanted the PC or Xbox version, and none of my PC's can handle it. I'm hearing enough good stuff about the xbox version that I think I'll spring for it.

It's pretty fun. I do find it annoying being without a lot of ammo, but what can you do, eh?

On a different note, I have found the Xbox 360 version 'hard' to look at. Namely it seems so packed with detail it becomes too much, and it's kind of hard to see enemies amid the masses of hollowed out buildings and cars (at least in the wanting to sneak up on anyone sense) - though running through the vast expanses is easy enough to see anything moving.

Maybe it's my television, though. I do need to upgrade at some point, given I'm using a crappy tube and not a new fancy plasma or LCD...

But, by no means a reason not to play it. Just conserve your ammo for the 'big boys', so to speak. Anything shorter than your waist, just beat the crap out of.

Upgrading from a traditional tube TV to a 32" 720p HDTV was a massive, massive improvement in graphical quality for my xbox. I'd imagine that bumping up to a 37" or 42" 1080p would improve things even more, but I objected to spending over $600 on a TV.

Indeed.

I have the feeling it's my tv, not so much the game. Detail is, after all, awesome.

Why do I feel like my 50" is going to waste on my Wii...

Lucky for me a Chief on my boat sold it to me for $300.
