Actually my problem with Linkin Park is that they play the same three chord radio friendly songs over and over again. My problem is the lack musical ablity especially when it comes playing instruments and composing music that makes you think. My problem is that the music is designed for horny little girls and stupid little boys. My problem is that they combine Rap and Rock/Metal, but do neither of them very well. My problem is that there are no competant guitar solos, challenging drum patterns, or lyrics that make listeners think.
Clearly you know nothing about cradle of filth, metal in general, and the music industry.
The words "Main steam" mean that a band falls within a narrow category of commercially mass produced and similar musicians. "Main stream" *example: Linkin Park* is the opposite of originality. Main stream music is made for one reason only: MONEY.
The hair bands of the 80's sold millions of copies and vanished. Grunge bands in the early 90's sold millions of copies and vanished. Nu metal has sold millions of copies, and if you were up on your music news you would realize that they are already in decline in Europe. The US can't be too far behind.
As far as "insult other people, or scream their heads off and call it music" goes, i challenge you to read over the catalog of COF lyrics www.vicious-arrogance.com...lyrics.cfm and not be suprised by what you find. COF is the most lyrically sophisticated band i've ever encountered.
So go ahead. Keep Listening to your Linkin Park. Copies of thier albums are already turning up in the Used CD racks. You can find them setting right next to NSYNC, The Backstreet Boys, O'Town, 98 degrees, The Spice Girls, Papa Roach, Korn, Manson and all the others past flavors of the month.
Of course i just wasted my time. Shallow little trendy posers never understand.
