It's just easier to say "Soldiers" then "Militia". Because almost none of you seem to know the difference, just say soldier.

Militia is what the US had at the beginning of the Revolutionary war. They were farmers, and other normal people that had guns and would come to fight when called. And they were almost always scared silly.

Y'know, we oughta have militia as a General R&D for Construction. Easily mass produced infantry that anyone can produce. Basically male citizens armed with a Vibro sword, or old slugthrower rifle, and a basic set of cheap durasteel armour, like a chestpad, and helmet. Call it the Conscription R&D, or something like that.
