Drayson's thing up the thread a bit about learning it from a friend.

Erisi is a smuggler, her friend would also be a smuggler or Fringe type. That person might work within Coalition borders, but we might not now he/she/it is a Fringe type. She doesn't specify to make sure that she doesn't identify her friend.

Marth:

Yeah, my part was unplanned, except that I told you that TNO was building the Eclipse, and where. Plus, it keeps up the image that we are following in the foot steps of the New Republic.

Simon:

Fine to all your points.

Okay... it's not her friend, it's that discovering a major Imperial superweapon that would no doubt be (as was, in fact) very secret, by saying "a friend told me" is pretty damn corny.

But, Simon has no problems with it, so it's all good.

I shall watch the RP with interest, though.

As a staff member, i have problems with it.

Realism is constantly being flouted for bullshit.

If you can't moderate realism, we will, and you won't have as many liberties as you were once allowed.

Perosnally I got to say I was pretty realistic. Oh wells.

Interesting post Marth,

Question:

1. How did your fleet "know" where the ESD was heading since the tranports that sent the signal were destroyed before the course was set?

It worked on the idea that you didn't have to have the course punched into your navicomp and all that fun stuff to be on that course heading.

I was going to use something about Interdictors being faster but then I figured out they were the same speed so it messed up that idea.

But basically I figured that you'd be leaving the gravity well on the same heading as your hyperspace course. It was pretty much a gamble on the fleet commanders part.

Okay...

But there's no way the Interdictors would have time to make a not of the jump, plot is probably course, escape the gravity well, plot their jump, make the jump, emerge ahead of the ESD, and raise their gravity wells in time to stop it...

It's the same jump that the intredictors made in my second post. In my post all they did was emerge and raise gravity wells. The ESD has already left the system and is far, far away.
