I admit that I am confused. Sorry. Lot's of calculus will do that to you? How about just a simple yes or no?

The end result as I understand it is yes you can keep some of your ships and even your group, but probably not all them because its not realistic for one planet to support 3-4 ISDs. Please note that I also don't know what your manifest is or was, so if its something small you might be able to keep a lot of your fleet.
