In light of the new force user system, I humbly submit Tir Esais (Force User of no affiliation) as a candidate to be promoted to Knight status.

I have conducted one dedicated training thread [thread=6209]Meet Me In the Courtyard[/thread] and have participated in numerous roleplays, both as Tir and my various other characters.

If I need to provide links to any of the work, I shall happily do so. Several detail his use and command of the Force, showing both his potential, and his limitations.

Also, I'm not sure if this is the right way to go about this- if its not, feel free to delete this thread and advise me otherwise.

You're blind.

You suck. Your brother sucks, and your alliance sucks!

Denied.

I dunno, it might have some validity. The character's well-exercised and the like. Obviously I'm not the one qualified to say aye or nay (there's a whole council, ere I last checked) but there's support for your request, at least.

Well, how much effort was put into developing him as a Forcer I think should be the question asked. Using a character that is well rounded and all is good but if he never trains/uses the Force, then he wouldn't develop in the Force. *nods*

But I'm not on the Force Council. So...

Perhaps the petition process should be included in the active force user listing... eh?

Nah that wouldn't provide an appropriate venue for other members to voice their support/opposition.

I'd say this is about right.

Certainly an established character, certainly a skilled writer, and certainly knowledgeable. I haven't been around for most of the duration of your TRF membership, so I'll go poke other council members and see what they think.

Would you mind providing a link or two? I must say I am curious to see how you handled Tir's development in the Force after leaving TJO and Vodo behind. Not too many self trained characters out there...

I do think Itar's point has some validity, and I will flatly state that Tir Esias is by no means a traditional force user.

He (as of yet) does not carry a lightsaber. In fact, most of the time he has a bodyguard he walks around to protect him. He could use his cane (and the technique that Vodo taught him) to ward off attacks.

I would like to reserve the right to someday build a saber, if I ever felt that Tir's character called for it. Of course, on the basis of the common sense rule, it would require serious attention to obtain any level of proficency.

Of course, Tir's obvious handicap would limit his potential and reduce how effective he could be as a swordsman. But thats another matter.

Tir uses the force everyday of his life, and has since his right after his birth. He uses the force to compensate for his lack of vision, and its use comes as second nature to him.

Having (before working with Vodo) never really trained his talent, he was often using great amounts of the force to do things that Jedi would do with ease. He still has something akin to the "touch of a blacksmith"- he has a large raw potential and a great amount of power to draw on, but his ability to concentrate and focus that power is limited.

He has imporved since working with Vodo, but he is no master.

The greatest emphasis of his manipulation of the Force (outside of mundane everyday usages, which I often reflect in passing) has been on battle coordination- not Jedi Battle Meditation Mind you- of the Union's necrotroopers.

[thread=7867]Necrotrooper R&D/info thread[/thread]

[Brief synopsis- Necrotroopers are soldiers employed by the Union itself (as opposed to its sub-factions) that are either clones or captured civillans/slaves that have been rigged up with implants that basically eliminate their free-will. As such, I have made it so that Tir can very easily touch their minds as they (well at least most of them) are effectively drones]

Tir first controls Necros ICly here:
[thread=6663] Infiltratating[/thread]

And goes on to do this on a larger scale (and after a signifant passage of time) here:
[thread=7763]A Score to Settle, A Price to Pay [/thread]

Also, I am sure he would (and has, in some small references) interact with necrotroopers on a smaller scale. He may even have done so in the original training thread with Vodo.

I hope those help. And I'd be happy to answer any other questions.

He's got my endorsement, I've read some of his work and it's quality with understanding. I know I'm not on the force council, but I have played a Shadow Jedi Master for some years, so not just shooting lightning out of my ass.
