Operation: Iron Fury TNO Takeover of Diamal OOC

Kraken, I really hate OOCs, and think they detract from the quality of RP. So, I will not be long winded, nor will I be insulting. We should be able to work out any discrepencies to both of our satisfactions.

I haven't repleid to you most recent post because I was unsure if everything you did was..... correct. (I am not going to say legal, because you didn't cheat or anything) I wasn't sure myself, so I asked Kas Katta what he thought. He reviewed your posted and told me this:

* He used far to much time.

Basically, for the type of manuever you pulled off, plus all the actions of your post, you id quite alot without allowing me to respond.

I also specifically asked him about your micro-jump manuever. You see, I don't think it's possible to hyperspace through another fleet formation..... the chances of collision are far to high. Even if it is possible, it would have to take more than one post to accomplish, to manuever into position and etc.

* Kas said he wasn't sure if it was legal, but he would check.

I'll wait for your response and anything any mods/staff have to say before I post again.

I took about the same amount of time to do what I did in Diamal, as what Jan did in Ando.

As for the micro-jump, I specifically ordered the ships to plot their courses as to avoid any collisions. Since your ships are grouped together, it's fairley easy to avoid them, so long as my ships traveled in a straight line (which they did).

Just because someone else did it, and no one protested doesn't mean someone else will not protest at a later date.

That doesn't really make sense. I gathered from your post that you went through Cortex's fleet. In order to do that you would have to painstakingly calculate the exact jump vector. If you're off by a hairline, you'll have a collision. Now, you could go over, or under their fleet, pop out and then do a 180, it's the part about going through that's the kinker.

The time thingy was Kas's response- I didn't even think about it untill he said that. You'll have to ask him about that one (I assume he'll post here soon.)

The thing is, my ships are actually quite spread out. I listed several positions but was too pressed for time to completly explain the exact position of ALL my ships. However, i did say they were scattered to reduce the effect of mass firings.

Still if Jan did a micro jump their may be a prescedent.

I'm not saying I'm right and your wrong- I'm just opening this up for debate and looking for others input.

BTW i'll post in the other takeover soon.

Well see, the calculations were painstankingly made, I specifically ordered it so. I could have just said, lay in a course for a micro-jump, but I went into detail to say, plot the most direct course that avoids collision. Granted, this means my formation is a little messed up now, but I'm still in range of his ships.

If the calculations were made painstakingly, then it must have taken some time, which means his point of you taking up too much of the RP timeline is even more relivant.

Ok. Assuming it took three minutes to calculate and execute the jump, another minute to turn about and manuver, and that leaves one minute worth of firing. Mind if I edit my post now to reflect this?

Kraken, you're flying millions of tonnes of metals through space. They don't just do a @#%$ U-Turn and everythings peachy.

Ahnk's Edit: Damnit... if I am editting out your flames, you have issues...

Fine, Fine. Allow me to edit my post accordingly? This means that I can't jump through his formation, but I can still jump in front of him requiring less time for calculations, correct?
