Actually its 4 to 1 odds, so, with Each Cutter carrying 8 double turbolasers = 16 per cutter.

Thats 64 Bolts per each bird of prey, and since the output of the Cutter's turbolasers are 150% of a normal turbolaser, it has the power of 96 Turbolaser bolts slamming into the forward sections of the unshielded Bird of Prey doing immense damage to the ship.
