Do I have to me a member of a faction?

Before I start RPing, I just want to know whether I have to be a member of any of the factions eg. the Jedi Order, the Bounty Hunter's Guild. I've RPed before, and I just want to make sure my character's within the rules before I start. Thanx!

Nope!

You can start straight away , feel free to start a rp on the Battlegrounds. Its a good way of introducing your character, and maybe giving people an idea of what you are all about.

Its a good idea to read through the rules to start with, other than that, there aren't any limitations.

If you wish for others to perhaps 'jump-in' and join in with you in your Rp, then just place the word "Open" in the title heading of any new thread or Rp you start in the Battlegrounds.

(you don't have to , but it'll let people know you are "open" for others to join in).

If you are interested in perhaps joining a Faction, take your time, look around, and decide which one might perhaps best suit your character. By no means are you required to become a fully fledged member of a faction straight away, just to Rp here.

You may decide that the "Freelance" angle works best for your Character. :grin

Hope I didn't confuse you , heh, other than that, welcome to TRF!

If you want participation in an RP, I suggest you post some sort of thread about here in the OOC Forum.

Most people here don't generally want to intrude on threads when they don't know anything about them... but if they can discuss it with you OOC first, they're more likely to enter.
