Attention TNO

Fair enough Omnae, at least for the most part.

I realize that Thyferra is not going to be like the Onyxian Commonwealth in its political state. What I meant in my first post was in terms of basic security and military infrastructure. I was assuming it wouldn't be quite up to the scale as the Onyxian Commonwealth because Thyferra is indeed more stable, and you probably have the support of at least half of the populace, if not the majority for outside matters. Yes, I realize that TNO has done propoganda as well that affects most of its population. I don't expect Thyferra to be really supportive of any outside power, or even the outside rebels.

This what I do think: that the people will be reasonably informed about themselves and there own state on Thyferra. At the end of Past, Present, and Future, is depicted as being utterly desolate, if not oppressing as well. Frankly, I don't think anyone would be happy to live there. I've looked, and I don't see any work down on Thyferra after that thread (though if someone has something else showing otherwise, I'd appreciate it). Am I just suppose then that things otherwise become magically happy then without any other IC work? To naturally assume things without actually having them RPed or written out?

This is why I am asking. Because I am assuming that the Empire isn't ruling a "half-rotted out world" as described in the RP. I am assuming that you probably have wanted to make things better on Thyferra, if nothing else to ensure better bacta production. Is that too much to ask?

I read your post a while back and thought to put up some sort of response to make it more fun for you but after reading, I thought that there was not yet enough information posted by you to even comment with a TNO Response.

With Tooth and Claw (TNO)
Remote Alazhi Field, Thyferra

Sturm stared out into the jungle, taking in an intoxicating scent of the luscious jungle flora. A few leaves rustled as a Vratixan blood eagle swooped overhead. The man quietly dropped to the ground, hiding underneath the verdant Alazhi leaves. He blended in flawlessly with the environment, partially because his blast dampening armor was of camouflage pattern, and partially because netting trapped bits of the native flora to him. His hand reached out down his holster, silently retrieving his customized shattergun pistol; rebuilt primarily for greater durability. Alexander felt a gentle nudge at his boot. The former law enforcement agent peered up to stare into a bulbous, black eye. The Ashern Rebel crawled up to the man cautiously, clutching its own adapted blaster. His mandibles clicked quietly.

“Is there anything here?” questioned the alien softly.

“Not sure,” whispered the man, peering about the field, “I thought I might have heard something.”

“Better safe than sorry,” quoted the Vratix gnomically.

“Indeed,” agreed the man quietly, “but if there doesn’t appear to be anything.”

“One can never be sure,” murmured the alien, handing him a datapad.

The man grasped it.

It is rare for our people to agree with yours, human, but Vratix must agree with you. The stench of oppression makes us grow wearily of even breathing. We distrust these electronics; these comlinks or holoprojectors, or even this datapad. A courier will meet a member of your cell back in Xozhixi with what information we have gathered.

The man nodded. Thyferra was a world ripe for rebel activities. Two significant portions of the populace hating Palpatine’s Empire and its offspring for generations. The Vratix for the typical Imperial treatment of aliens, and both the Zaltin humans and Vratix for the oppression caused by Imperial occupation. When Ysanne Isard was in power, both groups had banded to together to oust the head of Imperial Intelligence; obtaining freedom. But the Empire had come back under a new woman: Bhindi Drayson. A woman both feared and loathed, just like her beloved Empire. But fear breeds anger, and anger actions. And soon, the Empire will know the our wrath. They had only wait for information to be compiled on local Imperial forces before they struck.

This is your entire post. This is the entire thread that you are "outraged" that has no TNO response.

First off, you have a techphobic alien race meeting with a human who 'must' agree with the human because of some vague sense of oppression. The human is a former law enforcement agent but you do not say where he was a law enforcement agent. Is he even native Thyferran? The Ashern rebels had problems with human control and now, you are saying they want to join your human controlled rebellion? The Vratix have been fighting human control ever since the Empire under Palpatine and so it stands to reason each human government that has owned Thyferra have come to think of Vratix terrorists as a normal worry for the world. It stands to reason that the Vratix have been taking actions long before Sturm enters the picture.

Secondly, the Vratix seem to have forgotten the planet's history between Isard and Drayson.

But even these nagging little omissions are irrelevenat. You want a TNO response.

Ok.

I figured I may have been wrong with my initial reading and so I have reread your post.

What are you waiting for?

They had only wait for information to be compiled on local Imperial forces before they struck.

You want local information. Ok. Where are your two people?

Remote Alazhi Field

I would tend to think that there is no Imperial military presence in this remote Alazhi Field. Therefore, when your Vratix courier goes from the jungle to the city to inform the 'cell' that there is no Imperial presence in this remove Alazhi Field, how does this effect a response from us?

We cannot assume you are talking about the city Xozhixi because your bug rebels are sending a report to your cell supposedly already in the city. If they were in the city, then they would know.

We cannot assume you are talking about the entirety of Thyferra as bugs would have limited access and, hiding in the jungles, would not necessarily know spacial elements of the Imperial presence. TNO is not going to give you all that data just because you have bug rebels in a remote jungle location.

So, until you clarify what you require of TNO, TNO cannot respond.

Fair enough. What I want is the general state of Thyferra.

Have you kept things the same as in Past, Present, and Future with desolate cities and completely charred fields? I tend to think the Empire would reconstruct things, but that hasn't been RPed out. And the state greatly influences what I can and cannot RP. That is partially why my post isn't terribly descriptive or long.

I've been thinking about Thyferra recently, actually, and it has been rather stagnant. It can be assumed that the Empire is producing Bacta there, of course... I'll try and get a reply up for you pretty quick, now that I know what you're looking for.

Yes, I am Corise.

I admit to intentionally altering my writing style somewhat to throw people off though.

Wow.

Worlds annexed forcibly by the Empire can resent their occpution, as in the Onyx Sector where the jackboot weighs heavily on all. However, in worlds of the Core, things are much different. A world such as Thyferra, where the galaxy's bacta production takes place, is heavily garrisoned and more ehavily populated than it was twenty years ago. It is a world where stability thrives - hardly a place for an insurrection. Surely there are unhappy elements who object to the Empire in principle, but again on a world so dear to the Imperial cause, such thoughts are being continually hunted by the Inquisition, the ISB, Intelligence, and any number of other agencies dedicated to security.

The Empire of now is not the Empire of Ep IV - we are still as vengeful and vindictive as ever and as anti-democracy and all glory-seeking, but we offer stability and order and justice in a galaxy rife with threats, injustice, horror, and chaos. We are the shining light in the darkness.

[/delusional propoganda]

Enjoy! And if you want me to respond, I will.

In the form of Imperial forces on the world, I imagine a squadron of the line to be stationed in orbit along with a platform or two, and probably a hundred thousand or so ground troops, perhaps more. This does not include the horrific number of civilian platforms, freighter traffic, etc. Remember, Thyferra is a production center, so there would be hustling and bustling round the clock.

And for the record, those that claim to be unhappy are lovingly and tenderly escorted to booths in the capital complex where their unhappiness is terminally dealt with in an instant, saving the person suffering and the bureacracy time and money that would have been spent otherwise dealing with said unhappy person.

Thus, all are...happy. Or so they say.....

I will be pursuing this thread...so the info would still be nice...otherwise, after waiting nearly a year, I'm going to start making up what I think I will be a reasonable background based on what Telan's said above (for the military situation) and what other people I talk to think about the civilian structure...
