Hey everyone,
I just joined up. My name is Danielle or Danny (I'm female, and spell it as Danny instead of Danni). I've been a Star Wars fan since fifth grade and am currently a freshman in college. I love to write Star Wars fan fiction and I've been doing Star Wars RPing on message boards and in Yahoo! Chat since 1999.
I have a couple questions, though.

1) Where do I post my character info?
2) How do I find someone to train the character once I've posted the info? I want her to be a Jedi.
3) What's the current storyline, if there's a set one?

I think that's it. If i have anymore, I'll post them. :D

2 - TJO is currently our only active Jedi group. You can find them here.
3 - We're set around 30 years after ROTJ, if I remember correctly. The Vong were stopped at Coruscant, the Empire (TNO) has crushed the New Republic (more than once). Someone else with a little more info can complete this part.

Welcome to TRF. I would be very careful about using custom colors for your text, since people use different colored forum skins depending on their preferences. Leaving text to its default color is recommended.

We don't actually have a "character bios" section or anything. Most people simply do their description through their writing. But you can include something in your Profile, if you like.

[/font]Check out the Jedi Order forums. There are a few Knights and Masters who would no doubt be happy to train you as a Jedi. Alternatively, check out The New Order and become a Sith.

We don't follow any real storyline as a whole, although we are a timeline board, meaning we're set roughtly 50 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. So while you can do character roleplays occuring earlier, any major roleplays are set in a consecutive order. Events that happened in 2004 take place, in character, before events that will happen in 2005. Our timeline goes from the start of the thread, as well - so even if a roleplay is long-going, the events take place in the past.

This means our timeline is quite extensive, but here's some big points:

The Yuuzhan Vong invasion was fought back from Coruscant, meaning that the events post-"Star By Star" more or less didn't happen.

Thrawn returned and tried to invade the galaxy, eventually being thrown back by the combined forces of the Empire and the Republic.

Chadd Fearsons resurrected the Death Star, causing a major battle between the New Order and his "Rogue Empire"

The New Order won back Coruscant from the Republic, dealing them a crippling blow.

Tilaric Brell, a disgruntled Imperial, released the Wrath Virus, killing untold billions of people and reducing the galaxy to a state of nothingness (this was the backstory for our fleet restart a couple years ago). During this time, the Empire expanded to thousands of worlds before crumbling again.

...although we have a set 'time-period' we do not have 'set-stories' everyone can write about whatever they want to really (within reason).

In otherwords you are quite welcome to just start writing an RP in the battlegrounds if you so wish.

We're set 30 years after ROTJ?

That makes meeee.... 53 years of age. I'd been assuming it was more like mid to late 40's :O

And Demos' statement of 50 years would make me.... ok let's not go there.

Maybe it's high time I started considering a character switch...

Actually I was setting the timeline for TRF (at least the beginning elements) around 17-20 years after A New Hope.

Basically you can take most books up to The New Rebellion to the bank with the exception of Leia being married to Han Solo and having kids. As far as I know, in this universe Leia did marry Han Solo but then called it quits or something a while back.

The Corellian Trilogy never happened but you can take elements from the book (ie: Centerpoint).

The NJO series also never happened. There have been times when someone wanted to start a Vong group and have done so. These were considered vanguard elements of the main body enroute between galaxies. There have been several incursions and attacks but nothing on the scale of NJO series.




Current Situation: The Empire once more holds the largest part of the galaxy followed closely by a machine run empire called the Black Dragon Empire. Jedi are pretty much based out of Naboo, home of their vaunted Jedi Temple. There are various neutral factions spread around and the current incarnation of "the good guys" is the Galactic Coalition based on Mon Calamari (3rd largest faction in the TRF galaxy).

Brief information on us: The Imperium is run by technologically-advanced beings named Dameuns who are based inside the heart of the Tion Cluster in the Outer Rim. General Grevious, who was cloned by the same beings, leads their campaign to expand the Dragons further into the Outer Rim, which in turn, has made the Black Dragon Empire the second largest faction in the galaxy.

They are also the only faction currently at the moment developing a superweapon, the Omega Cloud, which is comparable to the destructive capabilities of a Death Star.

The Imperium also has Force users as well. An Order named The Sorcerors of Tund is led by Zuinlan Vos. The Sorcerors are comparable to the Dathomir witches, in which they are neither light or dark, but use the Force to serve their purpose, whether it is to heal or to choke someone.
