The Hunter Becomes the Hunted(MCR Takeover of Barab 1)

Teebo's wavespeeder shot across the blue oceans of Calamri towrd the newly built floating city Ackbar. It had been built when MCR regained control of their homeworld, and was named after the famous Admiral.
It was a magnificent crafted structure with a slight resemblance to the Mon Calamarian Star Cruisers. It had a bumpy surface, bumpy but smooth. Ackbar City was meant to resemble an MC-300 abttlecruiser, because of the cruicial role that they played for MCR. In the center of the city, there was a statue tof Ackbar that stood over 200 feet tall. It was sculpted in his honour, for he was a hero to the Mon Cals, and was built of a rare stone found deep on the ocean floors of the Calamarian oceans. The stone was nearly indestructable, but very rare.
Teebo switched on the comm unit and said "Wavespeeder A-457 requesting docking coordinates." and waited patiently.
A gravelly Mon Cal voice replied "Permission granted." and transmitted the coordinates.
Teebo thanked the Mon Cal and cut the transmission. He flew the wavespeeder over and disembarked onto the city.
------------------
When he got to the center of the city, at the statue of Ackbar, he saw that there were hundreds, no thousands of Mon Cals there. They were turned towards the other entrance as if waiting for someone, and Teebo thought that he knew who.
He approahed an older Mon Cal in the back of the crowd and asked "What's everyone doing here? Are they waiting for someone?"
"Yes", the Mon Cal replied. "we're waiting for Emperor Teebo. He should be arriving any minute now."
Teebo chuckled, and the Mon Cal turned his head towards him. The Mon Cal gasped. "You-You're-"
"Yes, yes, I'm him." Teebo said. Several of the people nearby had glanced over as well, and they also made a gasp. As Teebo watched, it looked as if a giant ripple was moving through the crowd as they al began to realize he was there and turn towards him. The Mon Cal beside him made a gurgling noise in his throat, as if he couldn't speak, and motioned Teebo to a rasied platform. Teebo walked over and mounted it. The crowd was totally silent now waiting for him to speak.
"How nice it is to be among fellow Mon Cals again." he paused, and several in the crowd cheered. "I have been away from home for far too long, but I promise you that I will never surrender the planet again." More cheers. "We have may more ships, and as you can tell, a large protion of them are defending here, with the others ready to be called in immediatately. I won't ever abandone you again." Even more cheers. "But now, I have some personal bussiness to attend , so if you'll excuse me..."
He stepped down off of the platform, and the crowd parted to let him pass. He walked out of the square, and took a turbolift down to the diving area.
--------------
Several minutes later he was dressed in a watewr proof divers suit, with one of the symbiote membranes for breathing pressed over his face. He swam through the waters of Calamari gracefully, using smoth, powerful strokes to propel himself. He could have used one of the jets, but it had been so long since he had swam in the deep waters, and felt the joy and freedom, so he chose to go without. He swam for a long time, going deeper and deeper. Finally, in the distance he saw is destination.
Severl hundred metres ahead of him he saw a cluster of caves jutting from the ocean floor. He felt out through the force, and sure enough, he could feel his old friend's presence, someone he had not seen for a long time.
Too long Teebo thought. His friend had came to Calamari and hid in those caves because he was ashamed of his cations, and had seen many deaths in his lifetime.
Teebo swam up to the cave, and manuvered into the opening. Once he got in he pulled himself up and out of the water with his muscular arms. He stripped off his equipment, and hurried down the rocky entrance. As he got to the end, the cave opened up into a larger area, and he saw a Mon Cal nearby, laying down on a small but comfortable looking bed. Teebo went over and sat in a chair, waiting for his old friend to wake up.
----------
Several hours later, the sleeping Mon Cal stirred and opened his eyes. He looked around the room, and saw A Mon Cal sitting in his chair with his back faced to the bed. Something about the Mon Cals posture reminded him of something. The Mon Cal turned to face him, and his heart leaped into his throat. It was Teebo.
"Snowkan!" Teebo said, and embraced him. "It's nice to see you again." He let Snowkan go and stepped back, s if to get a good view of him."How are you?"
"Good." Snowkan replied. "If you're here, does that mean..."
"Yes, it's ours again, finally. It's so good to be home."
"Why did you come to see me? I made MCR the laughingsotck of the galaxy." Snowkan said, with sorrow in his voice.
"Because you're my friend, and nothing can change that."
"I should have died," Snowkan said, very quitely, "I should have died. It would have been better than this torture. I still do not understand how I survived."
"You survived because you were not meant to die yet." he paused. "You still have many great things to do."
Snowkan looked away, so that Teebo couldn't see the look on his face.
"If you're going to ask me to come back, I won't."
  • Posted On: Sep 18 2002 9:10pm
"I won't do it. I never want to see that kind of death again." Snowkan said. He had jumped an entire fleet into an Abolisher field, and only his ship had survived. MCR had depended on him, and he had let them down.
"But Snowkan," Teebo said, you have done a great many things. If you come back, you would be seen as a hero." And it was true. Snowkan had done great things.
"It won't make up for what happened at Teth. Nothing could make up for that." He paused. "Besides, I am perfectly happy here." He make a circular motion with his arm, arond the room.
"I could argue with you, but I assume that it would be pointless." Teebo said. "But even so, it doesn't diminish the fact that I am glad to see you again." He looked around the rom, and spotted Snowkan's lightsaber. He pointed to it with his flipper-like hand. "Have you been practicing?"
"Yes, I need to do something besides sit here."
"You should at least keep up with the news. It might give you something else to do. And you can know what's happening. I mean, you didn't even know that we got the planet back, and that's the biggest news here since we lost it."
Snowkan was silent for a moment. "None of that really concerns me anymore. If I did keep updated, surely I would feel compelled to rejoin MCR. And that would only spell disaster."
Teebo sighed in defeat. "Have it your way then." He paused. "I have to go now, I have bussiness to attend to, but it's been nice seeing you. I'll come back occassionally."
"See you around." Snowkan said, and with that Teebo departed to the mouth of the cave. When he got there, he pulled back on his water garments, and began to swim back up to the surface.
----------
The next day, Teebo got up bright and early, and set out to explore the new city. He enjoyed just walking around, marvelling at the architecture. It pleased him.

Alyssa Beelyath followed a short distance behind Teebo, bracing herself for what she was going to do. She needed to know after all. But it seemed so akward, asking the Emperor. She knew it shouldn't, but he held a great deal of respect on Calamari, and she never really liked speaking to heros.
She quickened her pace, until she was just behind him. She tapped him on the shoulder, and he spun around, surprise evident on his face.
"May I speak with you in private for a moment?" she said, and swallowed in anticipation of his refusal.
Of course, Teebo said, and took her off into a side hallway. He looked at her, apparently waiting. She swallowed and braced herself, the began.
"I'm not sure if you would remember him, or if he is of any relation to you, but I used to know someone named Jeori Teebo." She paused, then continued. "About five years ago now, he was taken away and put into Imperial service. Do you know what happened to him? Is he still alive?"
As she spoke, Teebo felt as if he knew her from somewhere. When she spoke his name, he knew he must of known her, but he couldn't place her name. When she finihsed, a sudden realization dawned upon him. It was Alyssa.
He almost reached over to hug her, but then he realized that she obviously did noty know who he was. He grinned inwardly, decideing to play with her for a moment.
"Yes, he is still alive." He said.
"Really?" she spoke breathlessly, "Where is he? Is he on Calamari?"
"Yes," Teebo said, "He right here." He grinned widely, and something cahnged in him. His expression of a military commander with many death's on his hand, his look of roughly 40 years old suddenly changed.
His straight back slouched, and he took on a much more boyish expression. He stepped close to her and embraced her. "Alyssa!!" After several moments he broke away, and looked at her face.
She was in shock, speechless. "Jeori?" she said, an almost inaudible whisper, "Is it really you?" she said, already knowing the answer, "Bu-But how?"
"Come, I'll explain over lunch." He took her by her arm and led her down the busy sreets, towards a small, but elogent restaurant, where they had ate many times before.
The waiter/cook looked up as they came in, and a smile blossomed on his face. "Well, well, look who's here." He turned and looked at Alyssa. "I see you found him. Was he related to the Emperor?" He asked.
Teebo made a low gurgling noise in his throat, and the Mon Cal turned to face him, and took a good look at him.
"Yo-You're..." he stammered.
"Yes, Josef, I am. But just ignore that for now." He walked over and embraced the man. "It's wonderful to see you again. Cook us up the usual, and then come over and sit with us." He jestured to Alyssa. "I have a story I think you both want to here."
------------
Half an hour later the three old friends sat at a small table, discussing their stories.
"You still own the place, eh, Josef?" Teebo said. Five years ago, Alyssa and him had come here many times, and had became good friends with the owner.
"Did you really think I would give it up?" he said, and smiled warmly.
"That's why I came." Teebo said.
Then Alyssa spoke up. "Why don't you tell us your story now Jeori, you've heard ours."
"Alright, if you really want to here it." He said.
"After they captured me, they took me away to work as a mechanic. When I was working, I attempted to sabotage a Star Dsetroyer, but they caught me. They beat me, then sent me far away to Tatooine as a slave." He shuddered. "It was hard there. There was hardly any moisture, and it was always hot. I repaired the ships as they came through the sytem, working at a disguised Imperial outpost. If they saw Rebel ships, they would force me to sabotage them." He paused for a moment, then continued."About a year and a half after I was captured, A Mon Cal came by the station. I'm sure you've heard of him. His name was Snowkan. Instead of sabotaging his ship, like I was supposed to do, I got him to take me with him. He piloted his ship back here, and I established the Mon Calamari Fleet as an Imperial resistance, with him as my second in command. We quickly gained power, and became well known. I then cahnged the name to the Mon Calamari Republic. However, my biggest mistake was attacking the Empire before we were powerful enough. They captured Calamari, and left me with almost nothing. We fled to Bimmisaari, and reorganized, planning a counterstrike. But the the Empire traded the planet to the New Republic, and so I figured I could barter for it with them. They were very kind, and so I managed to retrieve it, finally. And that pretty much leaves us here."
Just one question." Alyssa said. "Whenever I saw you as the Emperor, you always looked older, almost twice as old. I-"
"When I was enslaved by the Emire, it changed my drastically. And then when you are a military commander, you sort of end up with a haunted expression, becuase of the number of people you send to their deaths." He shuddered. "But when I saw you, it reawakened something in me, something I have had buried for far too long. The Jeori as you know me."
None of them spoke for a minute.
"You know, I bet not one person would recognize you as Emperor if you walked into a room full of people." Alyssa said.
  • Posted On: Sep 18 2002 10:24pm
"Exactly. I can sort of use this as my hidden identity." Teebo said.
"So you're saying that you don't really want people to know who you are, and that used to not really be that great at all?" Josef said.
"I was always great, whether it be known or not, but yes, you're right, I don't really want people to know." he replied.
"How about we go have some fun now, to sort of catch up on everything we could have done?" Alyssa said, her voice full of hope. They had been best friends for many years, and had done almost everything together.
"Sure."
----------
Teebo and Alyssa walked into the lower levels of the city, towards the diving area. No one stopped their work to salute Teebo, and most did not look at them. Helooked so different than he did a short while ago. He now had 2 identities. Emperor Teebo, and Jeori. One old one young, one serious, one not.
Several minutes later they both had their waterproof suits and breathing apparatus's on, and were swimming in the murky deths of the Calamarian Oceans.
"It seems so odd," Teebo said, speaking through a comlink, "To actually have to pay for the rental of one of these."
"That's what a normal person does." replied Alyssa, and grinned.
"Not that that is a bad thing. It brings back old memories."
"Yes, we used to swim all of the time. It was so fun." she said.
"So why can't it be now?" Teebo said, and propelled his body close to hers. They grabbed hands, and began a slow spiral. They accelerated, spinning faster and faster, until they were only a blur. Teebo let out a whoop of joy.
"It's been a long time since we did this." He said.
"But it's still just as fun as every other time." She replied, her joy clearly distinguished in her voice.
"You speak as if everything is different now."
"Well it is. That was five years ago. You were 16, and I was 13. We're both older now."
"Does that really matter?" He asked, "We're still the best of friends."
"Yes, but we're both different now. You've changed, I've changed, the world has changed."
"But our friendship hasn't."
"Good point." Alyssa replied. She bagn to slow their spin.
"Awww, we were just starting." Teebo said, but once she released him, he seemed distorted, as if dizzy.
"Sure, that's why you can't swim straight." she said "Besides, we still have to go to the cave." She swam off, towards the right. Teebo followed.

Snowkan stayed in his home as Teebo left. No, he couldn't go back. Emperor Teebo would promote him back up to FLeet Admiral, and give him command of any fleet he wished. It was better this way, staying hidden, researching different things about the planet. He was glad the Republic had returned to Mon Calamari, the citizens woudl prefer that. But, return to the fleet, no, some of the ones left over from the old days would remeber, and probably not trust him. The only thing Snowkan thought he might be able to do, was provide insights. He had minor control of his Force powers, and that would be enough. He thought once again abotu what Teebo had said. He reached over and turned on the news. It was all about the assaults against the Empire. He noticed that many groups had allied with the The New Order to attack The Rogue Empire, now the Jutraalian Empire. they would soon learn that once The Jutraalian Empire was destroyed, The New Order would assault them, forgeting their alliances. It would be smart for for the Republic to assault The Jutraalian Empire at many places. Then they could gain more planets, there for more citizens, and a a larger population to ask questions to, about what they thought the Republic should do. More citizens would mean less peopel being terrorized and conscripted by the Empire. Less people being conscripeted meant less terroist in disgise as Imperial troops. More people leaving instead of killed by terrorists. More criminals in jail as police forces wouldn't have to deal with terrorists. A better way of life all around. SNowkan sighed, glad that he could live away from what had once been his life, attacks against the Empire, and seeing people under his command die. If he were to go back, more peopel would die under his command. If Mon Calamari became assaulted, then it would be time to come out of hiding.

OOC:Snowkan, I was going to get to you later. You're to anxious.
IC:Teebo and Alyssa were sitting inside a small yet comfortable cave that was deep beneath the oceans of Calamari. They had discovered it many years ago, when he was 12 and she was 9. They had explored a lot then, and knew their way around under the oceans remarkably well.
"It's been a long time since we last came here." Teebo said.
"Yeah, but we really couldn't could we?" she replied.
"No, I suppose not, but still."
"I know what you mean." She hit him playfully on the shoulder. "It's been a long time since we talked, so I was just makinnng conversation."
Teebo made a short laugh. "And I knew that that was what you were doing."
"I sort of figured that." She grinned. "Seems we know each other quite well."
"We do."
"Good point." she paused for a moment. "Did you ever try to find me?" she asked in a low voice.
He frowned. "Of course I did. But it isn't exactly easy when the planet is controlled by the Empire, you know."
"What if I had left?"
He grinned. "I knew you wouldn't."
She hit him across the shoulder again, and grinned too. "Stop that. It's creepy."
"You do it too." he pointed out.
"We knew each other for so long, it's sort of natural. We can guess what the other will do."
Neither spoke for a while. Alyssa was the first to break the silence. "I could always sort of tell what you were feeling, Jeori, and I know that there is something troubling you."
"It's nothing."
"No, it isn't. I know it's bothering you." she punched him in the shoulder, a little harder than before. "C'mon, you can tell me."
"It's just..." he shifted uncomfortably, "Well, I sort of have to go somewhere soon. You know, bussiness."
"Oh." Alyssa said. "And what might that bussiness be?"
"The Barabels asked if they could join MCR. I have to go and speak with their government." he paused. "I'm sorry I have to leave again so soon."
"It's alright." she grinned. "How about you take me with you?"
"I'm not entirely sure if that would be wise, Alyssa."
"Nobody will care. You know, you can't hide who you are forever. Besides, I bet people will like you better this way." She smile grew larger. "I do."
"Alright, I guess you can come. I mean, it's not like there will be any danger."
----------
Several hours later, Teebo and Alyssa were taking a shuttle up to the huge Mon Calamari Cruiser, Teebo. Teebo wanted to take plenty of ships, so that the Barabels would be convinced that MCR was strong, and would join willingly. And it was also a sort of safety precaution. Teebo also had 6 MC-200's coming as well. It would be quite a show of force.
When Teebo had firsted tried to get a shuttle up to the Star Defender, the pilot had not known who he was, and so naturally, he refused. Now the pilot was silent, trying to hold back his shock, but it was clearly evident. The pilot had had no idea who he was speaking to, until Teebo told him. Although Teebo did not look quite the same, he was clearly recognizeable when a name was supplied, because the look was similar.
---------
Several minutes later, Teebo was on the bridge of the mighty Calamarian Cruiser. He could be recognized easier now, becuase, although not exactly the same, he did wear his military expression once again. He looked somehow happier.
Beside him, Alyssa gaped in awe at the huge ship on whcih she was currently aboard. She had never actually been on a Calamarian Star Cruiser, or any spacecraft for that matter. She had never before left Mon Calamari.
As Teebo looked over a her, he could see her extreme uneasiness. He squeezed her arm. "You'll be fine. Don't worry."
She looked up at him and smiled weakly. "I know that, but it doesn't really comfort me any. You, of course, know that I have never been on a ship before."
"Most first-timers are a little nervous." He turned and looked at his crew. "Set course for the Barab System."
"Already done, sir." A female Mon Cal said.
"Excellent work, Ensign." he watched as the stars faded into long lines, and they reverted into hyperspace.
"ETA 46 minutes, sir." another Mon Cal said. When they regained Mon Cal, they got a new supply of the species to crew their ships. Teebo had been recently built, and recieved a full crew of the species.
"Excellent. I am going to be in my quarters. Inform me when we are five minutes from arrival." Teebo said.
"Yes, sir."
Teebo turned, and motioned for Alyssa to follow. He walked down the curved hallways of the Star Defender, until he reached the turbolift. He waited until Alyssa was inside, and then closed the door. He turned to face her.
"How do you like it so far?" he asked.
"The ship is so big." she said, with wide eyes.
"Yes, it is a little overwhelming the first time around. I was in awe when they put me on the Imerator-Class Star Destroyer, and this is almost four times as long."
"I can't even imagine how much firepower it has."
"You haven't seen anything until you've seen our full fleet." he boasted. "We have 16 of these, and 8 more even bigger ones." He paused, and spoke again, more quitely. "Not that I like having all of this firepower, because it results in a lot of deaths, but it is a lot."
She gaped in awe. "The full fleet must be quite a sight."
"It is, it is. It would have to be a very rare occasion to see it all together though. With that many ships, it would be too difficult to command. It would be too cluttered, and you would suffer from friendly fire." he said, and then stopped. "I don't suppose you would really care, though." he added.
She laughed, a strange bubbly noise. "Not really." Just then the turbolift stopped. They both got out, and went into a room a little ways down the hall. It wasn't a large room, but it was a decent size. Teebo could have had it made 8 times as big, but that would just be an abuse of power. No one needed that much space.
He walked over and flopped down in a chair, and motioned for Alyssa to sit as well. As she sat, he looked at her head. Like most female Mon Cals, it was more steamlined, and smaller than the males. As he examined it, he saw a scar that had not been there before.
"What's that?" he wondered aloud.
"What?"
"Oh, the scar on you head." It was long, almost a foot in length. It was actually quite obvious, and he was surprised that he had not noticed it before.
"You remember when..." as Teebo listened to her, he could hear the uncomfortable edge in her voice. "... we were being chased by the Imperials. And.. well you know what you did." she smiled, but it was forced. "After they got you, I tried to go back, but they shot at us, and a bolt grazed my head."
"Oh." he said. "Looks like it was very painful."
"Not as much as losing you." she said, her voice small. Teebo saw her shoulders shake, and he realized that she was crying. He reached out, and reluctantly put his arm around her.
"It's all my fault." she sobbed. "If I hadn't tripped, you wouldn't have had to go back for me, and you wouldn't have got captured." Her shoulders shuddered. Teebo pulled her in close.
"It wasn't your fault. It was the Imperials, for coming in the first place. They had no right to be there. Don't take the blame for things that you had no control over." He held her tighter. "We're both safe now, aren't we?"
"Yes but-"
"No buts. We're both happy now, right?"
"Yeah."
"Good. Now let's go up to the bridge, because I expect that it's almost time." His comm unit rang. "Correction, it is time."
He pulled it out of his pocket and flicked it on.
"Five minutes to reversion, sir." A Mon Cal voice said.
"Excellent, I'll be right there." He shut it off, and walked towards the door. Alyssa did not follow.
"C'mon." he said. Reluctantly, it seemed, she walked forward, and followed dbehind him, not speaking.
Several minutes later, Teebo was on the bridge, in conversation with one of his officers. "How are all of the systems running?" he asked. Teebo was a new ship, fresh from the shipyards, and this was the first time it had operated with a full crew.
"Everything is good. One of the starboard Turbolasers malfunctioned but it was only a minor poblem, so it waas repaired." the officer replied.
"Excellent." Teebo looked at the timer, and noted that there was five seconds until reversion. "Looks like were there." he said. The starlines slowed, then shrank back into normal stars, and the Mon Calamari Star Cruiser returned to normal space.
"Right on target, sir." an officer said.
Teebo looked out, and saw Barab 1 nearby. It was a rocky, mountainous planet, with no really large bodies of water. Teebo figuresd that the air would be dry. He didn't really like that, but if he wanted to befriend the Barabels, he would have to stomach it.
"Kind of ugly, isn't it?" Teebo said, turning toward Alyssa. She nodded numbly, and it was then that Teebo realized that she had not seen any other planet except Mon Calamari.
"I have to go down there now." he said. "Do you want to come?"
"Sure." she said, having regained control of her voice. She still seemed as if she was in awe.

OOC:4,600 words so far. This might actually be my first takeover where I am a few thousand words over. Don't worry, Snowkan, I'll be getting back to you soon.
IC: The shuttle settled down onto the open plateau, and lowered it's landing ramp. Teebo walked down, with Alyssa beside him. After them followed a Bimm, a human, a Quarren, a Bith and a Kubaz, representing each planet of MCR.
A lizardlike Barabel strode forth to meet them. "Welcome, Emperor. We are honoured by you visit. I am Ambassador Bara."
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Ambasssador." Teebo said. "You wish to join with us, correct?"
"Yes, of course. Would you like a tour of the planet before we begin?" the Ambassador asked.
"Yes, that would be excellent. I've never visisted here before, but it seems like a pleasant world." he paused, unsure how to word his next statement. "On my way down, I noticed that you do not really have much for defenses here. My sensors detected a dozen B-Wing Starfighters, but unless I am mistaken you do not have anything else."
"We never had a lot of money." the Ambassador said, "So we could never mount a reasonable defense. We suffer many attacks from terrorists, and some independant smugglers. It is never much, but we lose hunters every time."
"You won't have to worry about that anymore." Teebo motioned with his hand to the ships in orbit overhead. "The ships there are only a small portion of our fleet. There will be a small group of ships permanently stationed here, and your planet will be outfitted with shield generators and planetary weapons, and troops. Also, the rest of our ships would be ready to come here on a moment's notice."
"I assumed no less. However, the troops are not neccesary. We Barabels pride ourselves on being excellent hunters, as I am sure you alreadsy know. A lot of that skill aids us in combat, so we have formidable warriors. As a matter of afact, we would be happy to have our warriors stationed on some of your other planets to defend there as well. I assure you that they are quite able."
"That I do not doubt." Teebo said. "Now, do you have any problems with us stationing shipyards above your planet?"
"Not at all."
"Excellent. Now, I believe you mentioned a tour?"
"Yes, I did. If you'll come this way, please."
----------------
Teebo relaxed in his room on the Star Defender, happy on having completed a his mission. He was about to fall asleep, when he heard knock on the door.
OOC:Got to go for dinner. Post cut short.

"Come in." Teebo said. The door lid open, and he saw the streamlined head of Alyssa enter.
"Hi." she said.
He looked at her, and he instantly knew there was something wrong. "What is it?" he asid, with considerable distress displayed in his voice.
"I guess I should know better than to try to conceal something from you." she said. "To put it simply, I don't like it here. I want to go back home, to Calamari. I'm not comfortable here."
"Yes, I was thinking that we should get going soon. Give me a few minutes and we will be on our way. Would you care to accompany me to the bridge?"
She nodded her head.
Several minutes later, they were both on the bridge, and Teebo was in conversation with one of his senior officers.
"There is not much else we can do here." Teebo said. "It would be best if we returned to Calamari."
"Yes, I agree." the Mon Cal said. "But don't forget that you promised to leave some ships here."
"I didn't forget. I planned to leave the Ethen Allen and the Koralelov(sp?)."
"That should be sufficent."
"Excellent." he turned to face the rest of his crew. "Ensign, plot us a course for Calamari immeadiately, and inform the Ethan Allen and the Koralelov that they will be staying behind to defend. Inform the Ambassador of our departure as well."
"Yes, sir."
Within the minute, the Star Cruisers had turned, and enetered hyperspace, en route to Mon Calamari.
------------
The next day, Teebo was back on Calamari. He was walking around in the lower levels of Reef Home City, waiting for Alyssa to meet him there. He heard some light footsteps behind him, and turned around to see her approaching.
"You're 37 seconds late." he said, grinning. "I was beginning to wonder if you were going to show or not."
She punched him in the shoulder, and gave a short laugh. "Is there some reason you wanted me here?"
"Yes, there's a friend of mine I want you to meet. He lives under the oceans, in a cave." Teebo said.
"Let's get going then."
They walked down several more levels, until they were at one of the diver areas. Alyssa and Jeori changed into the water garments, and swam out into the murky depths of the ocean.
Half an hour later, they came to a small series of caves. Teebo led her into one of the middle ones, and came up above the water. He pulled his suit off, and she did as well. They walked down the narrow tunnel, and at the end it tapered into a large opening, Snowkan's home. He was sitting over in a chair, fiddling with something on his lightsaber. He stood up abruptly as they walked in.
Teebo was the first to speak. "Alyssa, meet Snowkan."
Snowkan looked at her, then turned to look at Teebo. "Why are you here?"
OOC:Snowkan, your post now.

Snowkan watched as Alyssa and Jeori came into his home. He quickly put the lightsaber aside.

"Please to meet you Alyssa. I heard lots about you before I came here."

He walked over and hugged Teebo.

"Why are you here?"

While he waited for an answer he walked over to the Lightsaber, picked it up, fixed it, and then floated it over to the remote that was sitting on the floor.

OOC:Sorry about the small post, two of my fingers are sprained, makes it hard to type.

"Just wanted to see you again, that's all." Teebo said. "And to inform you that another planet joined MCR. Barab 1. You've heard of it, right?"
"Yes, I have." Snowkan replied.
"I thought so." he paused for a moment, and no one spoke. The comm unit on his belt beeped. He pulled it off.
"What is it?" he said, with an angry tone to his voice. "I asked you not to contact me."
"Sir, it is important. We recieved a distress call from the Barab system. They are under attack. The MC-200's can't hold it off for long."
Teebo swore. "I'll be there as soon as I can." he flicked it off and turned to Snowkan.
"It will take too long to swim. Do you have a submersible?"
OOC:Snowkan, for the purposes of this roleplay, you are going to have one. It is your choice on whether you let us use it, or if you come with us and help defend the Barabels.

OOC:I don't have a lightsaber or a lot of Force powers, I just played along with that.

IC:
"Yes I do. Follow me."

They ran over to a tunnel which lead to another cave.

"I'll pilot. Where do you want to go?"

They jumped into the submersible and drove out.

"Reef Home."

"Ok, we'll be there in a minute."

The submersible drove up to Reef Home.

"Where is your shuttle?"

"Docking Bay One, civilian area."

"Civilian area?"

"Yes."

The submersible stopped.

"Why are we stopping?" asked Jeori.

"Because I have an airspeeder parked near by."

They climbed out and ran to the airspeeder. Snowkan piloted them to the shuttle. They all ran on board.

"Your comign with us?" asked Jeori.

"Of course. I have friends on Barab 1. You might not have known it, but I had planned for it to join into our Republic a logn time ago."

They flew up to <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Teebo<!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.

"A Viscount Star Defender? Man you guys have improved you fleet big time."

"You didn't know that the Mon Calamari Republic had Viscount Star Defenders?" asked Alyssa.

"I haven't watched the news in a while."

"I'll say. They have had them for a long time."

<!--EZCODE ITALIC START--> Teebo<!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> flew to Barab 1...
