Spira: Ataria Island

I had only been on Spira for two months, when I began to let my mind wander to some other place and time. Though Spira's tropical atmosphere was enough to rid my mind of thoughts drifting toward ideas of other paths that I could have taken, I still tended to think about what things would have been like for me if I had not chosen the path that lay before me now..

Spira was, to say the least, breathtaking. Bella had been to various places across the galaxy, but in all her traveling, she had never seen anything quite like Spira before. The planet made her feel secure with its no weapons policy. The ocean on Spira was vast; small islands scattered about in different areas. Ataria Island was the first island the auburn haired woman had become attached to first, the island gave a magnificent view of the cliffs settled to the north and west sides of the island, not to mention the sparkling beaches off to the east.

He'd taken me to Spira on a whim, hoping to entice me toward something new... And for a little while, his thoughtful persuasion did wonders for my heart and mind. I had everything I could have ever wanted or needed, right here on Spira, but still… I still felt like I was missing out on something else... and I knew I was...

I wondered if things would get any easier.. For both of us....

"The sun will be setting soon."

Bella's light blue tunic softly blew from behind as she turned toward her companion, the open window creating a light breeze within their private resort.

"Would you like to take a walk with me along the beach, watch the sun go down?"

Her companion was much taller than her, but she did not mind having to tilt her head up to look at him. She rested her right hand softly on the left side of his chest, her other hand falling to his abdomen.

"Please?"

Ataria Island was the perfect backdrop for us to find peace. The white sanded beaches and the aqua colored waters seemed to entrance ones soul. One could spend a lifetime here without much problem. Which was why I decided to take her here, the planet was gorgeous, but nothing like Bella's beauty, which was timeless in every way imaginable.

The young man, Dannen mused over his thoughts as he stood under the shade just outside the private resort, the lukewarm breeze unsettling the wall of flowers nearby, as the soothing sound of the waves brought him at peace, he loved it here.

Casually he turned, and entering the home Bella and him found sanctuary in. He noticed she took to the view from the window as she turned to him.

"Of course we can...I would love to."

He said as his hand softly came to meet hers.

I hesitated once his hand tenderly met with mine. My almond shaped brown eyes could not strive to look away from his eyes, which were identical in color to mine, only the shape of his eyes were a lot more slender than mine. He always did have a gift for captivating me, something that he'd been able to do from the first time that I had met him.

"Oh no you don't!" Bella playfully spun away from him while swiftly pulling her hand away from his, a placid sigh leaving her lips.

He looked like he was up to something.

I could see a hint of frivolous mischief locked inside his gaze. I did not like it, yet at the same time, I did. I really, really did.

Within almost what seemed like an instant, Bella captured her lightsaber, ignited it and pounced forth near Dannen; the purple illumination of her blade, reflecting off of his bare chest.

"Don't make me hurt you. All those years of training I had were not put to waste, I can assure you."

The ignition of her weapon was nothing more than a playful jest. He knew it.

"Well?"

"Umm…"

Dannen looked on as the purple blade resonated in front of him. He searched Bella for a moment; looked at the blade with a hue of worriness across his features, then back to Bella in a more serious look.

A jest to be sure, and yes he did know it, as the seriousness in his face grew lighter, in a split moments notice.

"Well…"

He confidently and casually sidestepped the blade, and inched closer as he did so. The light smile over his lips progressed in a chuckle as he leaned in. And with passion, yet thoughtfulness his lips came to tenderly meet her lower neck.

His arms came to wrap around her lower waist as all this happened, as he quietly spoke in her ear.

"How about that walk?"

I could have easily countered his all too common sidestep, but I was not really all that interested in proving my point to him. Besides, he looked rather cute with his confident yet debonair poise. I still told myself that I'd been too soft on him. He and I both could have used the workout.

The warmth of Dannen's breath sent marvelous sensations of delight up and down Bella's body as his lips drew close to her smooth and delicate skin. She of course paid careful mind to maneuver the weapon in her hands to casually yet lazily rest into the opposite directional hand of where Dannen had sidestepped her advancement, so that he could willingly saunter up to her without much trouble. Bella did not see any use in pussyfooting around, not right then, at least. The female's free hand encircled Dannen's neck, whilst her other hand deactivated the weapon that was lazily within her grasp.

As his lips made contact against my neck I absentmindedly released my grip on the saber, it dropped to the floor. What had now become my other free hand, I eagerly clasped onto his chest. The idea of getting a good workout popped into my mind once again; the kind that only two passionate lovers could make. I mistakenly took the word walk for workout.

"Workout?"

I was quick to find my mind again as I cursed at Dannen. I was not upset with him, just unsatisfied with myself inwardly for letting him play with my mind so easily. I shoved him lightly off of me.

"Let's take that walk.."

The two lovers walked out the door of their private resort and on toward the beach, hands intertwined.

With his fingers interweaved with hers, the two walked out toward the beach. Walking side by side, the soft white sands beneath their feet as they looked out across Spira's horizon.

He turned to Bella and stopped, gazing on her soft features. Yes, the horizon of the planet was beautiful, but nothing in this galaxy could ever be as beautiful as her. He gently brought her fingers up to his lips, His lips lightly embracing her fingers in a gentle heartfelt kiss, as his brown eyes searched hers, radiating love for the lady, a deep unquestionable love.

He was happy, so very happy that he was able to give her peace, the peace and serenity she so desperately sought.

He would never give up on her, he would always be there, whatever it takes.

He smiled subtly as he watched her.

"Do you enjoy it here… the planet I mean?"

Dannen would enjoy any planet.. so long as he had her presence.

The weight of the soft white sand enclosed around the feet of the two lovers as they walked along the shore, appreciating the radiating sunset that slowly transpired within their sights.

I felt him stop within his trek but I wanted to keep going, but my hands intertwined within his kept me from doing so. Instinct told me he halted in his walk because he wanted my attention, which I only partially gave to him as I stopped in unison with him, my gaze too transfixed on the many different hues that were translucently flowing across the water's frame. I felt him brush his lips across my fingers, my skin consciously prickling with that familiar warm sensation I often felt whenever he would touch me. I smiled tenderly and turned to stare at him, offering him the full attention I knew I should have already been offering him the moment he had paused within his walk.

Bella tried not to let it show, but Dannen's question caught her off guard. In her mind, Bella mused over the question a few times within her head, instinctively creating more out of the question than need be. Scolding herself inwardly, she all too willingly shoved aside her provoked thoughts, finding the simplicity within the question and its answer.

"Yes."

His question caught me off guard. I had never really taken the time to think if I actually enjoyed Spira. Being asked, I had to think about it. However, when I did, I made more out of the question than was necessary, making my mind come up with more questions along with his own. I stubbornly pushed the unnecessary thoughts away; I hated it when I became analytical when I had no right to be.

".. And what about you... are you enjoying Spira too?"

I was enjoying Spira, a great deal, but I still missed being back home....

"Yes I do, very much."

Dannen thoughtfully reflected over the events that led the two here, to the tourist planet. Quite the turbulent past the two had.

Missing home wasn't perhaps how he would like to remember it, where they met. He was only there for a brief time, and that time wasn't the easiest moments. He came to realize the purity of what he believed in at the time, the sacrifices he made, for one special soul. He found his destiny was on a different path, and that his role to the gorgeous lady in front of him, was as crucial and important as she was to his heart.

"Glad you do as well...but...."

He took in a deep breath as he heard the sparkling tides, gently wash in.

"I'd enjoy any world as long as I was with you..."

The experiences the two lovers had once shared within the past offered more instability than the two would have ever expected. Even so, they managed to weather through the storm, together. The rocky road of their past was behind them now and the lovers had moved on to bigger and better times.

"I'm sure you would." Bella offered her companion an inspired smile. She had completely forgotten about the sun coming to set, her mind more attentive to the conversation at hand. Bella's brown eyes timidly dropped to extend a gaze onto Dannen's hands, which were still gripping hers.

"I know you would. You would walk through fire for me, just as I would for you, without question."

He had done so much for me, more than words could say. I always felt like I came up short in showing him my appreciation for what he had done for me, what he still did for me.

Taking in her own deep breath, Bella drew in her gaze back to Dannen, a wisp of bangs from her auburn hair came to naturally fall over her right eye as she inclined her head to the right faintly.

"Tell me what you are thinking about.."

I did not know what he was thinking about, but I was thinking about home and how much I still missed being there...

She looked so peaceful as the planet's sun began to set, casting a warm golden hue of the horizon. Yet, Dannen gave no attention to it, focusing all of his on her as well at the moment.

He saw a wisp of her hair fall, and he smiled warmly yet gently, and as his hand left her's his gently and slowly pushed it back behind her ear, coming to gently, caress her cheek afterwards.

"..You.."

And how beautiful she was.
