ORF Takeover of Taloraan

Tibanna Gas is a rather greensish gas. It isn't rare, it's found in nearly all Gas Giants and in most Nebulas. Just by itself it was fairly useless. However when spun it could be used as a blaster powering gas increasing the power of the tubolaser/blaster many many times over. Also when Carbon Frozen it could be used as a hyperdrive coolant. Much more energy efficient and inexpensive then all other coolants. Tibanna Gas was only naturally spun on 2 worlds Taloraan and Bespin. When Bespin was taken by The Rogue Empire they restricted the Tibanna Gas trade to their "friends". Then Taloraan joined them in the Taloraan treaty of ________. Know Taloraan had broken away from Bespin and The Rogue Empire and was ripe for taking.

"Excuse me sir. Agent Nightshade has reported in from Taloraan."

Marth Meer looked up starteled at the sudden intrusion into his workplace. He'd had the door set up so it was extra loud and would alert him if somebody came in but he must have been to engrossed with his work too notice. His nostrils twitched as he saw the caf in the man's hand. How long had it been since he woke up again? Chancing a quick glance at the wall chrono he almost wished he hadn't.

"36 hours! I really should hand some of this stuff over to a junior flunkie in Tactical Anlaysis. Maybe then I can get some sleep." Meer thought "but of course I can't. With times as troubeled as they are I can't risk having somebody make a stupid assumption. Oh well. The best I can do is drink lot's of Caf and hurry up and finish this work."

"Sir?" his aide said

"Oh sorry Mako. I was just thinking. You said Agent Nightshade's has reported in? Where is she at the moment anyway?" he asked

Mako Spance Marth's longtime aide didn't seem the least bit preturbed at repeating information again. His boss had after all been working for more than 24 hours. He was allowed to not always be paying the most attention.

"Yes. From Taloraan. She has some very interesting information concerning them." said Mako

He then passed Marth a datacard with the full report As he turned to leave Marth called after him.

"Bring me a large mug of Caf. And call a Joint Chief Of Staff meeting for tonight." he said

Mako nodded and then left Marth's office off in search of a large mug of Caf. Marth inserted the card into the datapad and turned on the power

Agent Nightshades Report 234 CGT
Sir,
As you know Taloraan and The Rogue Empire signed the Taloraan treaty which gave The Rogue Imperial Supply Corp. at Bespin complete control over the Tibanna Gas trade at both Bespin and Taloraan. However just recently Taloraan has left the Rogue Empire and is Ripe for the taking. I feel that if you were to give the Taloraanians favorable terms they'd be quite eager to let the Outer-Rim Federation supply Tibanna Gas to the galaxy as long as we kept on giving them a hefty profit and supplied them with defences. I urge you to immeaditly travel to Taloraan and discuss terms with them

Taloraan
Royal Banquet Hall

"And it is with a heavy heart..." the spokesman of the Taloraan Shipping Corp said solemnly into the amplifier, his voice booming out against the acoustics of the newly remade room, "that I announce the tragic death of Ilyok Condonce, the man who saved Taloraan from catastrophe. But fear not my friends, for our allies from the Jutraalian Empire have offered to pick up where our savior left off. As we speak the mighty empire is landing construction crews to rebuild what the Chimera Syndicate destroyed."

Imperial-Class Star Destroyer Disruptor

The holovid cut out, and the man aboard the Imperial-Class Star Destroyer Disruptor felt his stomach churn. War had just come and gone so swiftly, the Rogue Empire's death could have come as swiftly as its birth, but fortunately it had not...unfortunately at the hands of an assassin. Emperor Fearsons, the man who's vision had started it all, was now lying half dead in his bed sick.

It was sad, very much so. But Grand Admiral Telween had been charged with inducing the will of the emperor before and even after death. And with such, he was here to do so. Taloraan would belong to the Jutraalian Empire, especially since that strange man's demise had come so suddenly. Telween never did like that man...he reminded him almost of those strange creatures he fought at Ylesia.

"Sir," he heard suddenly, and his attention was diverted from motionless durasteel bulkhead ahead of him. He blinked himself out of his trance and stared at the ensign who had disturbed him. "Sir, we have a strange report coming from our agent inside Taloraan."

After several moments of uneasy silence, the admiral starked in blue, leaned back against his chair, propping his feet up on the hard wood desk ahead of him.

"Go on," he said, urging him to continue the brief.

"Well sir I um...I don't know how to explain...see for yourself," the ensign said, handing him a datacard. Telween let his black boots hit the floor with a thud, and he leaned forward to take the small but extremely informative disk, and then placed it inside a datapad he retrieved from atop his desk.

With a click and an eerie green glow, the datapad flipped on, flashing the Jutraalian Imperial Seal before turning into what looked like a camera's view of the surface of Taloraan.

The true surface.

It was nothing like how the admiral had expected it to look, with jungles and wildlife galore. The fauna and flora was abundant in ways he could not have guessed, and in a way it made him smile. It made sense, he supposed. It was a humid planet, very humid. That would definitely explain why it had such an abundant jungle life.

But when it scrolled over there was something he was not expecting. Humans, Devaronians, a whole variety of races, stripped nude were standing about what looked like...like coral skippers, being feeded from strange plants.

Those strange aliens were all about as well, whipping them with their snakelike staves or killing one or two for pleasure. Their tatooed visages caused shivers to run up the man's spine as he watched.

How horrific.

"It's a um...it's a Yuuzhan Vong breeding ground...they must have not heard of the Yuuzhan Vong's fall to the Chiss recently," the ensign forced out, unsure of what the admiral's thoughts would be.

"My god..." he uttered. "Prepare the fleet," he said, looking up from the datapad, "we're going to force them out of Taloraan. But we're going to do it quietly. How are negotiations going?"

"Taloraan is so far falling into our arms sir."

"Excellent," he said, folding his grey bearded hand into his palm, "okay, just a small flotilla, don't arise too much suspicion. Can we get a few HT-ATs on the ground?"

"Definitely sir."

"Okay do so...and so so quickly."

"Yes sir."

My god...the Yuuzhan Vong...on Taloraan was all Telween could think as the Star Destroyer Disruptor moved into a hyperspace position into Taloraan.

Taloraan
The Jungles

The resounding crack of a whip was heard throughout the murky jungles that were so disdainful to the Yuuzhan Vong warrior. Though he was a warrior, the most elite of his soceity, the thought of humidity always discomforted Shilaro Shai, a member of the disgraced Domain Shai.

Another slave collapsed under the harsh work conditions required to run a breeding womb, and he grinned sadistically. That amphistaff whipped out, and at the last possible second stiffened like a spear, thrusting through the soft flesh offered by these humans who seemed to inhabit every possible planet of this horrific galaxy.

He died swiftly, unfortunately, but it could possibley have been painless, a strike through the spinal cord and then through the heart rarely was. With a sick, we thump, the corpse hit the ground.

"Shilaro!" he heard the voice of his strict commander disgracing him by stating only his first name. He winced and straightened his back fully.

"Yes Commander?" he asked, standing straight as his amphistaff.

"How often have I told you," the commander began, stomping his way in front of the warrior, "do not slay these slaves without true purpose? Our supply is running thin, and the infidels above are growing suspicious."

"Why have we not destroyed those abominations yet?" Shilaro demanded defiantly, but in turn meeting the insulting back hand of his commander.

"Because the warmaster has not deemed it, THAT is why!" the commander hissed back as the exquisite pain in the lesser Yuuzhan Vong's cheek slowly began to fade.

"If that is your position..."

"Mind yourself Shilaro of a domain who's name does not deserve being said," the ridiculing elder growled, and went back to his duties. Shilaro Shai gave a vicious snarl, then stared back at the various infidel slaves who had stopped to look at him.

"Get back to work!" he demanded, and they scurried like littl ebugs to get back to whatever it was they were doing.

Imperial Star Destroyer Disruptor

Admiral Telween's stomach churned slightly as the cerulean spiraling tunnel faded into starlines, then subsequently disappeared into tiny dots on a grand canvas of ebon texture.

The mighty flagship of the Jutraalian Empire, the Disruptor, and all of its glory came to bear in the Taloraan system, five thousand meters of durasteel in the pinnacle of Imperial Glory.

A smirk crinkled his expression as he watched the swiftly encompassing mass of Taloraan, a sphere of riches to any who had the patience to harvest the pre-spun tibanna gas there.

"Any reports from the planet?" he asked his helmsman at his side.

"Negative sir, they are currently just letting us rebuild what was lost," he responded. Telween simply nodded.

"Okay, have our HT-ATs been deployed?"

"Not yet sir, but soon, I assure you."

Again Telween nodded, making his way for the other end of the bridge to find a turbolift down to his corners. As he left he threw a sidelong glance to the helmsman.

"Keep me informed," he ordered. He knew the rest of the fleet would arrive in about thirty minutes...hopefully all would be ready by then.

ooc:chadd in case you noticed if you'd even bothered to read the story they DON'T LIKE YOU. so change your friggin post and don't say my intelligence is wrong. and TCS is dead gone caputso and has been for 2 years. and you're still Rogue Empire this started beofore you changed your name

ic:The Federation diplomatic cruiser Timeless dropped out of hyperspace well within range of the planetary sensors. Well behind them they're escorts Venom and Victory dropped out of hyperspace far out of range of planetary sensors. Almost immeaditly they were boimbarded by hails from the mining corporation that pretty much controled the world and the Traffic Control.

"Aproaching cruiser this is the Taloraan Mining Corporation Headquarters. Please state your business and your faction." came a voice male sounding with a peculiar accent but definetely afraid.

"Taloraan Mining Corporation Headquarters this is Outer-Rim Federation cruiser Timeless. We wish to discuss a alliance that would be tof mutual benefit. Please wait a second while we talk with Taloraan Control." said Marth speaking in a low bass that wasn't his normal tone of voice.

"Never mind about Taloraan control we'll take care of your landing vector etc. However we don't have a docking bay large enough for your cruiser. Could you please transfer over into a shuttle." said the same voice obviously they wanted to serve. That would just make Marth's job that much easier.

"I copy Taloraan. I'm transferring to a Lambda shuttle. Can my ship and it's escort come any closer?" asked Marth

"Yes We're giving you a orbital parking spot. It's coordinates are 87-07."

"Al right."

Marth then cut his comm and turned to his communications/sensor officer.

"Do we have any reading on Rogue Imperial Channels?"

"Yes Sir. One ship about 4-5 km. IFF readings say it's the Disruptor. It just appeared a second ago sir." said the Officer

"If Disruptor's here then the rest of their fleet isn't far behind."

"Open a channel to Taloraan again." said Marth

"Yes Sir." replied his Comm Officeer

"Taloraan Mining Corporation Headquarters. We have discovered Rogue Imperial Activity. We are wondering whether or not they were invited or if they're intruders." said Marth

"If they were invited it's by the Taloraan Shipping Corporation a corporation that's been trying to upsurp our hold for almost a year know." said the unnamed official that Marth had been talking to earlier. "Wen give you permission to deal with them any way you see fit."

"Fine then stop all traffic in hyperspace in and out of the system."

"Already done."

"Fine then we're going to give the Imperials a chance to leave. For know."

Once again Marth cut the comm and truned to his communications officer.

"Order Victory and venom to jump in and power up their abolisher field Generators so that they have maximum coverage. then tell them to deploy all fighters. Their fighters are to escort them."

"Yes Sir." said the Communications Officer

"Fighter Control deploy all of our fighters and tell them to form up on us."

"Yes sir."

"Engines Flank speed towards the Disruptor."

"Communications send out a hail towards the Disrputor."

"Yes Sir, hailing know."

"We have a responce sir. Some Admiral Teleween wants to know who's talking." said the Communications officer.

"Open a channel."

"Done sir."

"Disruptor this is Outer-Rim Federation cruiser Timeless commanded by Marth Meer. You are hear against the wishes of the rightful government of Taloraan. I suggest you don't try to run or fight. And don't wait for reinforcements either. You have this chance and only this chance to transmit to them to drop out of hyperspace. You will then leave this system and not return without the specific invitation of the ruling government whoever they mey be. you have 10 minutes to comply to this order. And don't say we provoked you. This is a act of self-defence done on behalf of the Ruling Government."
  • Posted On: Aug 19 2002 11:23pm
"I repeat you have 1 minute to respond to the wishes of the planetary government in this system before my ships will be forced to fire.....acknowledge." said Marth over the open comm his frustration growing at the actions of the enemy admiral.

"Sir our fighters have found what they were here for. There appears to be a Yuzhan Vong encampment of some kind on Taloraan. Obviously they are here to destroy it." said the sensor officer "What should we do sir? The Empire probably has some heavy ground artillery with them. At the moment we don't have any."

"Do Venom or Victory have any?" asked Marth

"Yes Sir. Venom does. Shall we request their ground forces?" asked the Sensor Officer

"Yes we will." Marth then turned to his Ground Ops officer load all their heavy artillery on their MT-20 Dropships. Then load their crack troops on their Sentinel and Lambda shuttles. If they don't have enough MT-20s we can spare a few though I'd prefer if ours could carry our own troops. And change the temporary designation on my shuttle to Combat not Diplomatic. Scramble all active crack and regular troops. Put our reserves on stand by. Flight Director give Venom and Victory MT-20's if they need them but for the rest have them ready to load up and launch. Comm re-open that channel with the Disruptor."

"Disruptor this is Timeless. We see and acknowledge the yuzhan Vong threat that provoked you to come here. We assure you that we are capable of handling it on our own. Also our sensors tell us that you do not have any troops aboard you so you will not have to spend time extracting them. You know have 20 seconds."
  • Posted On: Aug 23 2002 7:50pm
"Timeless I acknowledge. However we will not leave untill the Vong are destroyed." came the voice male and rather old sounding over the comm

"Fine Disruptor take down the vong but hurry. I don't have a lot of time or patience." said Marth in responce to the voice

ooc:over to you chadd. If you want to do anything otherwise I'll jsut RP this out.

Yarek Nuul bit at his bottom lip as he watched the persons gather around the series of tables that had been set up for the meeting between Maverick Munitions, the Jutraalian officials, and the Taloraan Mining Corporation. Yarek had been trusted by Maladwen to be sure that all would go well in this particular instance, to be sure that Taloraan signed the treaty.

That was a lot of pressure for the man, who's only experience had been in selling ships to backwater defense fleets. Now, he was here, with a majorly important task on his hands. With the Jutraalian fleet over head was about to clear out a Yuuzhan Vong presence down below, Maverick Munitions's negotiations came to down here, in the rebuilt grand hall where the Chimeran Syndicate had apparently ravaged with bombs during Zhin Dwamor's deceitful takeover.

The chaotic discussions began to die down as the buzzer went off - an indication that the negotiations were about to begin - and he took his seat, gazing around at the hundreds of different aliens and other strange species here.

"May the Force be with me," he muttered under his breath and pulled out his durasheets, looking toward the stage where the first presenter would stand.

The Star Destroyer Disruptor slowly pulled itself slowly over the atmosphere of the planet, about as far as it could go with its most recent modifications. While before it took in the sublight speed advancement, it had to sacrifice its repulsor lifts unfortunately. But no matter, with the call of the Victory-Class Star Destroyer Red Dog, all bombardment issuse would cease there and then.

A dozen TIE Bombers had been launched and were already making their way for the first signs of the enemy Yuuzhan Vong, where their own bombardments would take place. Oh how Admiral Telween enjoyed such tactics, such strategy, such impending victory.

Thanks to the Chiss, the entire Yuuzhan Vong heiarchy had been shattered, and this group here was being pinned down at Taloraan.

The attack would be devastating, the Yuuzhan Vong would never even get a chance to respond with their few coralskippers they had there.

How excellent.

How excellent indeed.

Marth looked at his tactical screen seeing the divind TIE Bombers.

"Withdraw all fighters to CAP. Prepare my shuttle Captain see that the Rogue Imperials leave after they're done here." said Marth

Marth then stood up from where he was sitting in his command chair and strode out of the bridge walking towards the shuttle bay. Quickly he walked into the shuttle bay feeling that their was a need for speed in arriving on Taloraan. Walking up the ramp of his Lambda Shuttle he sat down behind the pilot who was begining the startup.

"Full speed to Taloraan please" said Marth

"Yes Sir" said the pilot as the shuttle lifted off "ETA 2 minutes"

In the Taloraan Mining Headquarters...

In the executive council chaos reigned supreme. The executive council had always worked through reaching a unanimous descision and no it was impossible. Half of the executive council wanted ORF and the other half wanted TJE. Since the laws of Taloraan said that a new nill could not be passed without a unanimous descision of the executive council then obviously it was impossible for them to pick either. Also staying neutral wasn't an option as they needed strong military support to defend them from pirates. As Marth strode into the hall he was ignored as the councillors continued with their skawbiling only the TJE entourage noticed him.
