Shortly after the events of Filling the Void

Aboard the Lambda-Class Shuttle, Titan's Glory

Maximus Tyranus sat there in the luxury of his Shuttle, the mission had gone according to plan. Darth Yang had performed just as Maximus knew he would. Flawlessly.

Maximus tapped his foot unconsciously as he sat there, staring out the viewport. Gelgelar sat there so serene in the distance. From this vantage point, one would never be able to discern the chaos the planet had just undergone. As Maximus Tyranus surveyed the surrounding space Darth Yang entered the room, the automatic door opening and closing with an audible woosh.

"Master." Yang said as he bowed before the Sith Lord who sat in front of him.

Maximus nodded slowly for a few moments, not averting his attention from the viewport. Then several seconds later, Maximus turned his head to the left where his apprentice stood, still not making eye contact. "He didn't even try to stop you?" Maximus Tyranus said, referring to Dev Baskalar's actions after Darth Yang murdered his Master, Rade Mar.

"No, Master."

"Interesting, this may be even easier than I'd planned. Nevertheless, we can't lose focus."

Maximus Tyranus tapped his forefinger on the datapad which rested on the table to his right. "This 'pad has all the information you need." The Sith Lord said as he turned to meet the gaze of his apprentice.

"You don't have time to waste. We should arrive in Coruscant this evening, you'll depart first thing in the morning. I expect this mission should take you no longer than a few days.

Time is of the essence." The Sith Lord said matter-of-factly.

Darth Yang nodded, acknowledging that he knew what had to be done.

Later, the following day

The Preducor sat there, its engine humming quietly. The Preducor was a modified Razalon FC-36 Speeder Bike, it was the newest model and hadn't been released to the public yet. Yang had modified the speeder by removing needless equipment such as laser cannons and shields. Lightweight and maneuverable, that's what Yang needed.

The Preducor was named after a predator of the same name, native to the forest moon of Endor. The Preducor has a mane of razor-like hair and a spiked tail. They stay awake all night waiting in the trees watching their prey. Then at the precise moment they leap from their perch sinking their oversized claws into their prey tearing them into peices. This was the namesake of Darth Yang's personal speeder.

Any moment now and he'd be able to disembark from the shuttle and get this mission over with. An assassin of Yang's caliber was hardly required for such a task. But given the importance of the assignment, Maximus Tyranus wanted to ensure that everything went as planned. With Darth Yang, he knew they would.

"We'll be landing in just a moment Master Yang." Came the voice of the pilot, Khidir. Khidir was usually dispatched to offer support to Darth Yang in any way he could, provding intel, securing a place to stay, or in this instance, escorting Darth Yang across the Galaxy.

The Titan's Glory landed in the private spaceport. Given the type of mission that Darth Yang was on, being seen in public places wasn't prudent.

"Upload the coordinates to my datapad." Yang said as he tapped a button on his comlink, relaying the message to Khidir who sat in the cockpit of the shuttle.

"Yes Sir." Khidir replied. "You should be able to reach the residence in 6 minutes from our location."

Darth Yang was now mounted on the Preducor as the vehicle rotated 180 degrees to face the rear of the vessel. As the doors opened, Darth Yang pressed forward on the handlebars propelling the speeder out of the shuttle at a high speed. Darth Yang moved the glove on his left hand to view his chronometer, 2100 local time. He'd be back in the Titan's Glory by 2200.

"Heidi!" The man yelled from his recliner. "Can you bring down the old holo vids?"

"What is it with you and those old videos lately, Kennedy?" The woman said from the second floor of the quaint residence.

"I don't know. I've just been... thinking a lot lately."

"Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddy!!!!" Came the voice screaming down the hallway as a little girl, no more than four standard years old emerged from around the corner, jumping into the lap of her father.

"Did you brush your teeth?"

"YESH." She said as she flashed a giant grin, exposing her recently scrubbed choppers.

"Muah!" He said as he kissed her on the forehead. "Time for bed Emily. Go give mommy a kiss."

"Goodnight MOMMY!" Emily screamed as she ignored her father's orders and ran back down the hall and into her bedroom, slamming the door behind her.

"Did you want the holos from Jordan's first birthday or.." Heidi asked before she was cutoff.

"No Heidi.. the older ones."

Heidi paused a moment as she was flipping through the carefully organized holovids. She picked up one of the disks and walked over to the railing which overlooked the first floor. Kennedy looked up to meet her gaze as she raised a curious eyebrow before tossing the disk down to her husband. Kennedy shrugged as he reverted his attention back to the program he was watching on the holoprojector.

"Hi mom." The boy said as he passed her on his way down the stairs, he appeared to be about twelve standard years old.

"Jordan, you need to get to bed." His mother said.

"Mom.. can't I stay up just a little longer? The Skull Crushers are playing against the Dreadnaughts in the Smashball Finals."

"Smashball?" Heidi said as she looked down at Kennedy, still sitting there in the recliner. "I don't want him watching Smashball, it's so violent."

"It's OK honey, I told him he could stay up and watch the Finals with me." Kennedy said, not turning his focus from the holoproj. Heidi stood there for a moment staring at Kennedy before walking down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"What's that dad?" Jordan said as he pulled up a seat on the couch next to his father's recliner.

"Just an old holovid, thought I'd watch it before the game."

"Is it that Limmie match where I scored three goals in the first half?" Jordan said excitedly.

"No... it's.. just some old holovids from before you kids were born."

"Oh... the ones with..."

A loud noise from the back of the house interrupted Jordan mid-sentence.

"Probably your Uncle Davin." Kennedy said as he placed the disk into the holoprojector. "He's early, heh. Not like him." Kennedy said with a slight chuckle.

The fight between good and evil has raged on since the dawn of man. Good and evil have fought toe-to-toe in numerous conflicts across several planetary systems, from one end of the Galaxy to the other. However, good and evil isn't always such a black and white issue, some say that the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. Sometimes however, good or evil manifest themselves in a light which truly is absolute, leaving no room for debate. Tonight, was one of those nights.

Darth Yang's speeder came to a halt with a dull roar just outside the residence which rested in the middle of a small valley in the grasslands. The lights were still on, they no doubt heard his speeder as it landed. It didn't matter.

Darth Yang got off his speeder and removed his cloak, placing it on the seat of the Preducor. He opened a compartment on the rear of the speeder, revealing a large durasteel combat knife with a portion of the blade being serrated. The blade measured nearly eight inches in length, Yang slid the knife into a sheath on the back of his belt.

Yang approached the house from the rear, the door was already open. This woudln't take long. As Yang entered the home, there was a somewhat long hallway which extended into the living room. The hallway had a door on each side, the one on the right was closed, there was probably someone inside. The door on the left was wide open with the lights off, unoccupied no doubt.

From the living room Darth Yang could hear the crying of a baby, it was coming from the holoprojector. Yang quietly made his way towards the living room stealthily, so that nobody could hear his soft footsteps on the wood flooring. Before Yang crossed the door on the right it opened quickly and a small girl began to run out, not seeing Yang. "Mommy," The young human girl said, but before she could take a step Darth Yang gripped her by the neck as she let out a gulp.

With the force of a Wookiee, Darth Yang crushed the young girl's throat instantaneously, killing her before she had time to process what was going on. Her head slumped into her chest as Yang carried her, still by the neck, down the hallway. Her family still didn't know that they were under attack.

As Darth Yang entered the living room he tossed the corpse a few meters in front of him as the lifeless body slid across the wood floor. Immediately her father and brother looked up in horror to see the face of the Sith, Darth Yang standing there staring down at them.

"What the?" Was all a frightened Kennedy could muster, as he had a look of horror on his face.

"Daddy?" Jordan said, as the young boy leapt off the couch and to his dad's arms who was now standing himself, clutching his son around his chest.

"What the hell was that Kenne-" Heidi said coming out of the kitchen to see what the commotion was about, stopping herself mid sentence as she saw her daughter lying there in the corner, neck broken, the life sucked out of her. Her question was quickly replaced with a horrific scream as she dropped the dishes she was holding, which fell to the ground with a loud crash as they broke into several peices.

Before anyone could say another word, Darth Yang charged forward slamming a right gloved fist into the jaw of Kennedy which sent him sailing back into the recliner, knocking the chair over as he flipped backwards, landing on his back as he rolled backwards. Without hesitation Yang sent a surging backhand into the mouth of Jordan who flew over the couch and landed on his back with a thud.

Yang hopped over the chair with ease as he came crashing down on Kennedy with a punch to the chest, breaking the man's sternum on impact. Yang stood there on top of him, his legs on either side. The man's wife watching on in shock, unable to move, tears flowing down her face as she stood there shaking. Yang removed the knife which was sheathed behind his back, without losing a beat he hacked off the man's left arm at the forearm, blood spraying profusely as Yang tossed the appendage aside.

Yang stood, walking towards the woman who resumed screaming. As Yang approached her he reached back and slapped the woman with full force across her mouth. Blood spilled from her mouth as she began to cry out, "PLEASE!!! MY SON!!! LET MY SON GO!!" She cried as she backed up into the kitchen. Darth Yang paused and turned back to Jordan who was lying there on the ground, he was temporarily unconscious from the blow that sent him to the floor. Yang began to walk over to the boy, Heidi shrieking in horror all the while, pounding on Yang from behind to no avail. Yang turned around cracking the woman in the jaw with a backhand that sent her flying into the kitchen with a crash.

As the boy began to get up Darth Yang surged forwards, slicing the boy's throat open with one smooth motion. The boy stood there choking, blood spurting from his exposed arteries. Yang stood there, watching as he sheathed his knife, it took a few moments for the boy to bleed out, slumping to his knees, then falling forward on his face.

Kennedy still lie there unconscious from the broken sternum, his left arm bleeding profusely. Heidi was beginning to get back up, her face bruised and bloody, she attempted to run out of the kitchen. Darth Yang grabbed her by the neck before she could get anywhere, lifting her high into the air then slamming her down to the ground with full force. Darth Yang got on top of her, punching her about the face unmercilessly for what seemed like forever. He continued to punch until her face was beaten to a bloody pulp, there was no doubt that the woman was dead by now, long dead.

Yang stood up, his fists bloodied and sore. Yang walked over to the man lying there on the ground, passed out from severe chest trauma and loss of blood. Darth Yang reached back and grabbed his knife, sending it to the man's stomach with force in a stabbing motion. Yang sat there hacking at the man's vital organs, eviscerating him alive. His intestines spilled out onto the floor, Kennedy wasn't dead yet, but he would be, soon.

Darth Yang stood, bored of the carnage he'd created. Yang turned and threw his knife sharply as it flung end over end, lodging the tip of the blade square in the middle of the door, the entrance into the bloody abode.

As Darth Yang walked out of the living room and back into the hallway towards the rear exit, he left a trail of bloody footsteps in his wake, the sound of a baby wailing could still be heard as the holoproj continued to play. As Yang reached his speeder he picked up the comlink and tapped a few buttons, "Mission accomplished." He said nonchalantly.

"Yes sir, I'll relay your progress to Master Tyranus right away and prep the shuttle for departure." Came the voice of Khidir, clear as day.

With that, Yang mounted the Preducor and propelled himself into the night sky, making his way towards the Titan's Glory.

Davin saw the speeder flying off into the distance as he approached his sister, Heidi's home, from the front walkway. What the hell? He thought to himself, not knowing what to make of the late night visitor.

"Kennedy!! Heidi!?" Davin said nervously as he approached the front door, not ready for what he was about to see.
