Black Market

Three ships hung in space, listless without their ION drivs running. Tal was aboard one of the smaller ships, an aged Nubian frigate from the glory days of a small backwater planet named naboo. The two other ships were present, a light YT-1200 freighter and the prize, a Vigil-class sector patrol craft. The Vigil was crewed only wit a skeleton crew, ten men.
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp "Twenty minutes," said Tal as he checked his crono.
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp "What if he is late?"
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp "Then we leavee."

*using wrong account, this should be Jan Dondana, but ohwell*

Admiral 'Bill Fanam' smiled as his ship raced through hyperspace. He was onboard a Nebulon-B2 frigate, with no markings, and the troops had no markings on their uniforms. He also didn't have any markigns on his uniform. They wore black black jumpsuits as uniforms, but his was a grey jumpsuit. The IFF codes were turned off.

The vessel came out of hyperspace, exactly on time.

"Head towards those vessels."

The fleet accelerated forwards.

"Unidentified vessels, this is Bill."

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp “… this is bill.” Squawked the sound system.
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp “Early,” said the captain of the ship Tal was onboard.
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp “Yes,” replied Tal. “Open a channel back.”
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp “..Bill, I hope your credit line is open, and that you have authentication of your rank.”
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp With that Tal transmitted the price he required, and awaited a reply.

"The government I work for does not wish to identify itself. I can assure you, I am an admiral, and I am not a mercenary. My credit line is good, depending on the amount of credits you want..." replied "Bill".

"Sir, our weapons are primed and ready, but no actual charge has been sent to them, as you ordered. Shields are up, at full strength, and a plot is laid in to return to Jump Point Alpha Beta Five, our starting point."

To make sure that his identaty was hidden, he had jumped in from a portion of deep space marked as Jump Point Alpha Beta Five, and would return there. This was a black ops, a secret mission, no one could find out that it was GC Intelligence negotiating for a Vigil, a new and advanced ship, and quite few in numbers.

OOC:
Unfortunately, I can't continue the deal, as my fellow co-leaders have made an excellent argument that it isn't actually worth us getting a Vigil, since that would give Anthos a good reason to actually be at war with us(since their current stance is not actually evident).

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp The communication line was cut, and Tal looked inquistivly at the captain of his ship. “Admiral?” he asked, rather astounded. What kind of government sent an Admiral out to purchase something?
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp “You did ask for a high ranking officer.” Replied the captain.
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp “re-establish channel” said Tal.
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp “Admiral Bill, the next question is of the utmost importance. Do you wish to purchase the entire ship that is before you, or simply the schematics?”
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp The channel was cut again, and Tal signaled the communications officer to signal his fleet. An encrypted message went out to the ships under his command, and in response the vigil powered up its engines. Should the Admiral choose to purchase or even simply tour the ship, they wanted to complete this transaction as quickly as possible.

(OOC: I understand. i have a phobia about not completing RP’s in the proper way though, you migt say i'Ve got a fetish over completing them.)

OOC:Ok, I'll finish the RP(it's good practice). Just for the record, no matter what my guys does(like if he says he wants the purchase the whole thing and does) we didn't actually purchase it. If you want us to actually purchase something steal a Shroud.

IC:

Static came over the channel every time the other ships cut the channel.

"We wish to purchase the entire ship."

An aide rushed up.

"Mute transmittion."

"Sir, we have detected the Vigil powering up it's engines."

"That doesn't mean anything, though they could be attempting to flee. All right, get the crew assigned to the Vigil ready to launch."

"Yes sir. The two sentinels are prepped, and one is full."

"Excellent. I will go down now. Once we purchase it I want to give it a good look."

"Yes sir."

Admiral "Bill" ran down the second shuttle. The transmittionw as immdeiately sent there.

"Sir, we are ready to lift off."

"Lift off, but hold position near the Nebulon-B2 Frigate."

The shuttles launched, and the transmittion was unmuted.

The Vigil moved forward slowly, toward Admiral Bill's craft. Halfway there, it stopped, and a small shuttle exited the hangar bay in the rear.
"The ship is empty now, Bill," siad Tal. "You may board at your leassure. I shall expect prompt wire of money."
Tal turned to look at his comms officer, and nodded. The man cut the connection, and tapped a few other buttons as well.
"Incoming hyperspace revision!" cried one of the sensor men in alarm. "multiple contacts."
"We've got an Interdiction field up!" screamed the sensor man in total panic.

Within seconds of receiving the signal, MicCales task-force micro-jumped to the pre-determined coordinates. Arrayed in a wide formation, his command of six Vigil-class SPC's and single Guild-class Cruiser were optimized for capturing black-market dealers and smugglers. The miniature interdiction field from the Guild-class Cruiser went up immediately, and the Vigil's disgorged their fighter compliment.

"Shields up, weapons online," was the status.

There would be hell to pay for these smugglers today.

"Sir, we have revision."

"Retreat, all forces retreat."

"An interdiction field has begun to come up."

"Jump to hyperspace when ready."

Since the fleet already had the course laid into to flee to Jump Point Alpha Beta Five, the second the fleet reverted, they immediatly began to flee, but unfortunately they had to execute a 180 degrees turn and speed up. By the time the interdiction field was powered up, they had almost reached the edge of the interdiction field. They would probably escape.

Of all the jobs, I could get stuck with.

Captain Kalyla was muttering under hsi breath for about the 20 millionth time- he hated escort duty, especially in such a boring area of space like Anthos. He was part of the new breed of Bothan Naval personale- eager, ready, and willing to engage in hostilities, spurred on by the Bothan's new approach, the ideas of Amaer Kre Fey. The last thing he wanted was to be sitting in hyperspace, piggybacking some transports into the peaceful core region.

At least I get a Assualt Cruiser.

The job at least had that benefit, but it was mainly dulled by boredom.

Until now.....

With a jolt that sent much of the unsuspecting crew flying across the bridge, the ship reverted to realspace.

A sensor officer yelled,

"Interdiction feild present, captian!"

"What the h...."

Captain Kalyla quickly recovered from the shock and began thinking of possibilities.

Pirates.... crime syndacite... The Empire?

He didn;t knew who they were, but they had an interdiction field for some reason. He had to act quickly...

"Pull the transports into a tigh formation. All ships are to raisesheilds and prepare for combat."

His job had just gotten a bit more exciting.
