Ok, this is the first I've heard of this and I'm wondering if you guys know if it's true or, hopefully, wrong. Is Stargate SG-1 ending? I just read that with this season ending Stargate is going away on a semi permenent basis, whatever that means...

Ahh man, it appears to be true... MGM even has a Save Stargate page since, as of right now, they have no plans to renew SG1 and even gathered up the supposed 'best' writers from SG1 and sent them to Atlantis...

That bites... SG1 will, as of the planning right now, return for one more season then it's relagated to being shown in the occasionally mini movie.

Yeah it sucks. I like Atlantis, but I like SG-1 too. I don't want it to go away.

It was a good time to end it. I'd rather it go out with a bang than turn to crap like X-Files did.

X-Files sucked in the end. Except the finale, that was done pretty well IMO.

I'm curious to see how they wrap up all the loose storylines...

another Stargate comments....

we just bought season two on DVD and I have to say, MAN! SciFI shows season one repeatedly. Out of season one I'd seen all but one episode, with the ones I'd seen having been ones I'd caught on multiple times. But season two? I'd seen only about 2 episodes previously....

Stargate SG1 rocks, but as Sam said, they've chosen to end it at a good time, better that it end now while the storylines are still fresh rather than they wait till they've gone so few into doing the same storylines with different characters that it's lost all viewers.

Thankfully about a year and a half ago they started the stargate dvd collection which I've been collecting so I dont have to worry about buying the dvd's, I have series one to eight already.

Will sorely miss the show when it does end though.

Alas, tis true.

However, one can relive the joyous moments again and again when one inserts the DVD in the player.

Sadly, all good things must come to an end.

I hated the show personally.:dead

I was gonna say...

Sam's probably got a gun aimed at you from somewhere.
