Julie-O

Well, since I was gone for the whole summer, I figured I'd better have something to show for it.

"Julie-O" is a song by Mark Summer of the Turtle Island String Quartet. (They're awesome. Buy their CD.) It is quite possibly the coolest song ever. Here I have a rough recording that I just put together (using my new microphone.) I played this song in three concerts in Japan and played it for some people in Canada... just so I could say that I did. Naturally, it was sort out of practise when I did this recording, though.

So here's a recording of me playing... this song. You want to buy a Turtle Island String Quartet CD, though, so you can hear Mark Summer's rendition.

EDIT: Grrr, it's 3 MB. Not two. I'm trying to downsize it. -- Ok, now it is 64 bits... Now it isn't uploading... one moment. "Attachment in progress. Can be deleted here?" I wonder how long that will take...

That sounds really cool, but you know what would make it better? Bagpipes! (I'm dead serious). Stick one or two of those bad boys in there and hell yes, the first top forty classical music hit since Motzart's death.

Great little tune there. Now i've gotta find a way to go buy a copy of it and get it onto my MP3 player.
