This is my application to create a new faction here at TRF. I have four interested members, including myself, who will be participating in the group. Below is my initial draft for how the faction will function.








Homeworld: Lexia

Lexia is a world of myth, the location is only known to those who live there, and was discovered by fleeing Nightsisters by accident. It is a world of dark forests and mountain ranges. It is also shrouded in eternal night as very little sunlight can penetrate the atmosphere.

There are several creatures which live on this world which will be named later. Rancors also inhabit this world because the Nightsisters introduced them here when they arrived. A race known as Lexians also lives here who, like the Dathomiri, are born force sensative. Lexians believe the force is magical but only few become versed in using it. Like the Nightsisters, they use incantations to summon it's power. When the Nightsisters arrived, the Lexians viewed them as being advanced in the use of this magic and were accepted and honored. They even gave them one of their ancient temple complexes to use as their own.

Lexians are a tribal race of people. When given the option, a Lexian will rarely leave their home planet since they view it as being sacred and a place they are bound to.

(**Note - Lexia is a world which was created by Xara which she recommended I use.)

Overview:

The Nightsisters are a clan established after the fall of the Shadow Academy on Dathomir. They are those who inhabited the Great Canyon at this time. (The timeline fits almost perfectly into TRF's) They fled Dathomir to establish themselves elsewhere and would eventually discover Lexia. The new clan of Nightsisters would continue to follow the teaching s of Gethzerion, the founder of the Nightsisters who also wrote The Book of Shadows.

F.Y.I. A Nightsister is an exiled clan member who used Shadow Magic, Dark Side Force, in an attack.

Hierarchy:

Nightsister Matriarch - Leader of the Nightsisters (OOC Leader As Well)

Nightsister Sorceress - Equal to the level of Master.

Nightsister Warrior - Equal to the level of Knight.

Nightsister Learner - Equal to the level of Apprentice.

(***Please note - I will be creating a character to be the Matriarch but for internal RP use only. She will also be essential in training the new members. I will have a character I will develop from the bottom up to eventually challenge for leadership of the clan and replace her when she is worthy to do so. It is my intention, with approval, to have my character be just short of the rank of Nightsister Warrior. She will have started training sometime ago to return again a few years later. This is all subject to approval from the Force Council.)

FAQ's:

Who will enforce the rules for the Nightsisters?
All members of the Nightsisters must follow rules set down by the leadership of the Nightsisters faction, TRF, and the Force Council. I am working on the specific rules for the faction now and will have them finalized soon.

How do you join the Nightsisters?
There will be an application thread for the faction where applicants may apply for membership.

How will training be conducted?
Simply put, the Nightsisters go through what is called the "Trial of Fire." You are given time to master one spell until you do. For TRF purposes, I think the "Trial of Fire" should consist of a group of spells to keep things moving. Lightsaber training and Rancor training will also be added. Training will be conducted in closed Nightsisters training threads using the Matriarch as the teacher. Promotions will be determined by the leadership of the Nightsisters, then submitted for approval by the Force Council.

What force powers do they possess?

Note to TRF leadership:
Any gaps I noted that have to be filled will be done so before the launch of the faction. Posting rules and so on shall be puzzle pieced together at the creation of the faction's website area.
This thread is intended to not just seek approval, but to also absorb input to help make the faction successful. Any or all suggestions made will be seriously considered and any "have to" input will be followed.

I changed their homeworld to Lexia. It's a planet that was recommended to me by Xara which is where her character was from. When she joined, she simply needed a race which she was given permission to use the name of Lexian. The homeworld wasn't relevant at the time but is seemed like a great idea to use for the Nightsisters.

For obvious reasons, focus will we switching to this faction and its interests. Other characters would have to be abandoned, if it is required, for its success and I'm willing to do that to be dedicated to this.

Besides Recon, except for my main three, the rest of my characters are inteneded to be nothing more than NPC's.

Well, barring any new valid formal objections by any other members, it appears we have a new faction.

Just would like to say, its reassuring to see that whatever disagreements that people may have had regarding this new faction has been settled, a good example of what both communication and common sense can achieve.

With this in mind, your new group is off to a good start Ishara.
